That depends on your genetics. A decent indicator is to look at any immediate female family members, and see what they have. You should get something close.
I started hrt at 29, and have B cups, almost C cups.

Hello Dana :).
The most important thing with hormones, is YMMV ( your mileage may vary ).
The typical timeframe for breast development is between the 6-month to 2-year point. Having said that, many girls including myself experienced breast growth before the 6 months point.
The WIKI has some more information on this. :)

Hi Dana, Welcome to Susan's.
Avatars become available after 15 posts as do PMs. Someone will be long soon with a page with links for the rules.

It depends on the hormones you take.
:p
Estrogen tends to cause breast development if taken at the proper dosage, along with an anti androgen (testosterone blocker).
So, if you expect to swap male hormones for female hormones, you will very likely develop breasts over time. Nobody can predict how large or small. That comes down to genetics.
Welcome!

I've heard of people getting tenderness on the first week, but I believe it takes months to notice anything visually. That.. and I hear it takes years to mature.

The DNA thing isn't always a true guide.
The girls in my family are mostly D-cups, 1 or 2 are bigger and 1 or 2 are smaller.
I'm a B-cup, I'm so glad I'm a b-cup as any bigger I would have hated it

Welcome Dana,
Yes the rule is there are no rules in breast development! And it takes 2 or more years before the changes steady out for many girls. This is the reason that breast augmentation surgery is not recommended for a few years after starting off, you can end up with odd looking boobs!

I started a week before I turned 25. I was in shape and had slight pecs to begin with. I'm about 12 weeks in and I'm almost at an A cup.

Just answered someone else asking similar things. :)
I started at 32 and was 42DDD after 2 years. (My mother's 34B, too. Clearly I got someone else's genes there!) Cis girls' puberty takes 5-10 years, so give it time... but I did have visible growth within a week. It's all down to genetics and luck, I guess.

I'm in a similar situation, 26 and just starting HRT.
One of my sisters is a 32F...the other is a 30B.
Only been on HRT for 3 weeks...time to roll the bewb dice I guess ^^;
On the plus side, the Scottish NHS will pay for Breast Augmentation for a MtF trans patient, if breast development is seen as sub-par and or excessively distressing (As in "Oh my god I can't live with these bee stings any longer.") which is kinda weird but awesome...So I guess things should work out ok in the end one way or the other?

I started at 35 and have been on for 5 months now. I was super skinny before and now I have almost a full A cup. My mom is a C and I have no other immediate relatives to compare to.
I started feeling the changes in my breasts probably around the 1 month mark with tingling itchy nipples followed by breast buds around the 2 month mark. It seems to go I a cycle. Itchy tingling, bud growth, swelling fullness, rinse and repeat.

Still pre-HRT here (awaiting first appointment), I'm age 22 and really curious to see what grows out of me ^-^. lol The most interesting thing is, on my mother side every female is nearly a D cup and on my father side nothing more than a B cup. So I wonder which way I'll end up. I've always had small man boobs from being semi fat. So perhaps that will help breast growth quicker/fuller I think?

I'm 27 and started a little over a month ago. I've noticed changes; I'm sure you will too. :) It takes time though. Your breasts are also probably going to start getting really sore in the near future.

I'm 56, started at 55, and pushing into a 38B now. Given my family genetics, I'll be surprised to get much more than that but you never know! :)
