Well, that wasn't a very capturing title for my post. I am new to forums, having been a slave to my own social intovertedness.
Anyways, hello. My name is Jasper and I am a female to male transgender. I came out to my mother in December of 2013.
I am a musician and an artist and graduate high school the end of May. From there I start cosmetology school in June.
I realised I wasn't who I really was two years ago. I came out to my mum then. Not really realising what transgender was. And then I started to research it more after having pushed aside these confusing feelings. I came out as pansexual, last year, thinking maybe I liked girls. But that wasn't it either. I only found one girl to be attractive and that wasn't until this year after I realised my mistake. Finally, I realised again that I was transgender and decided to research and read into it further. I am really quite unsure about getting Testosterone or surgery because I have this huge fear...and I mean HUGE...fear of needles and a low pain tolerance. So, my heart says yes. But my mind says no. I ordered my first chest binder, giving my mum the money and having her order it off Amazon. I am patiently *ahem* waiting for it to arrive.
My research led me to this site a lot. So after much inner conflict I finally decided, "You know? I might as well give this forum thing a try." And here I am. I am really excited to get to know some if not a lot of you. :)
I may be young, but I am always here for anyone who needs to talk.
Another side note: I do identify as gay, as a male. No feelings for any girls (except that one, but I am not willing to act with anything serious, it's a precious friendship I am not willing to ruin.)

A big warm welcome to the family! It sounds like you have some family support which is so wonderful. You will find all kinds of information here to help you with any decisions you make. The great thing about the information here is it is from people going through all phases of transition and not from people simply putting random stuff up here. This is a very safe and caring family and our moderators do a fantastic job of keeping it that way and protecting us. Feel free to rant, vent, share good news or just find a shoulder to cry on if you need it. Here is a BIG HUG ( :icon_hug:) to welcome you and start your life with us off right. :)

Hi Jasper,
A big Aussie welcome to Susan's family. It's good of you to drop in and say "Hi". Hope you like it here, and you stay for a while.
There is a mountain of information, resources and friendship waiting for you here, you just need to jump in start talking and ask any question you like. You're quite safe here and we are very accepting.
You've been doing a lot of research on yourself and your feelings, which is a very health start to a most unique journey. I hope you enjoy and embrace the reality of who you really are. This is a most rewarding goal to strive for.
Looking forward to hearing more of your story in time to come, but in the meantime, be safe, well and happy.
Lotsa huggs
Catherine
