Title: Been reffered! How long is the waiting list?

Heya Girlies

Ive just been reffered to the gender Clinic at Porter brook in Sheffield!

I have been told that there is a huge waiting list!
Have any of you been to this clinic?
What is it like? and, how long should i expect to be waiting until i am seen by someone?

I don't live in Great Brittan and I'm wondering what you mean by being referred to the Gender Clinic.  Is this to see a qualified Gender Therapist, or to obtain HRT from an Endo?

In either case congrats girl.  Making progress through the medical systems is always a breakthrough.

In Uk i had to go to my GP and get him to reffer me to the gender identity clinic, on the NHS! Im pretty sure i am gonna have to see Psychologists at the clinic, before i can be considered for HRT on the NHS! x
