Title: Can you get a 1/2 orchiectomy? Does it work or does the other compensate?

Well, the title says it all. I have never heard of a 1/2 orchie, but it seems like it would be nice if the 2nd didn't increase T to make up for the loss. Any thoughts?

Sorry, that doesn't work. The pituitary will just tell the remaining one to go into overdrive. My brother grew up with only one and he developed normally. He even has a daughter now.

Well, I think that would be the case, but maybe it would take far less anti androgens to suppress one than to suppress two. I don't know, just guessing.
As an aside, have an orchie seems to greatly increase your chances of reaching 100 if born male.
