Why can't you move when you're old enough?

Brandon, "The times, they are a-changing"

You are young.  I smile while I look at the progress made over my lifetime, particularly in the oast few years.  Be patient.  You have a lot to live for.

You can get married in any state of the union that allows same sex marriages if you can not change your birth certificate (i am gussing you are talking F. F).. What state was you born in that will not change your BC?

It looks like Michigan lets you change your birth certificate anyway:

I'd rather not be killed, if you don't mind.

Nowhere in this part of the statute are the words "genital" or "successfully" or "completed" used. They are not part of the requirement. Period.

I also hope that you'll provide explicit advice with respect to the Affidavit, advising people that they should not provide any additional details with regard to type or extent of surgery.  They should provide the information asked for in the Affidavit, and nothing more.  In addition, they should be advised that the certification can be done by any physician with direct medical knowledge of their case, and does not need to be done by the surgeon who performed surgery.

Why listen to people that don't know what they are talking about? I -do- think full transition matters, and legal clean up is just part of that. Can't really isn't part of my vocabulary, if I was in one of the few states that are obstinate about updates I would pursue an exception  anyhow.

Not to mention a friend in "high places" who will provide info. I'm guessing the Associate is from that is THE Jamison Green and Associates.

you can change your birth certificate in Michigan and I believe Michigan is coming close to allowing same sex marriages (my girl is from Michigan (the flint area), I was there last month) anyway, I know its hard when your from a state that isn't will say "gay friendly", but you can always move to a more liberal state. Far as surgeries go, I think it depends on the state, I think most its only top surgery that is necessary to change your birth certificate. Social Security and Drivers license, I think you just need a doctor or therapist to sign off that you are transitioning.

I take it you are not in the Uk, when all you have to do is live as a man or woman for two years and then you can change it.

The only problem I have with that statement is that just because someone is not gay friendly doesn't mean that there automatically not gonna be so friendly to trans people and vice versa and I don't wanna be seen as the same sex I am a man, But I didn't plan on living here foreve in the mitten forever anyways. But they said you have to do it were your from.

Hysto can also suffice if the letter is worded correctly.  As far as Social Security you just need a doctors letter.  Drivers license depends on the state.  My state requires surgery for me to change my drivers license to male.

In my state, you just need a doctor's note that your gender identity is male/female in the doctor's professional opinion, and will remain so in the foreseeable future, to change SS and licenses. Birth certificate requires a transition-related surgery.
