Title: Pre-HRT Almost Zero Free Testosterone?
Post by: Genzen on February 20, 2014, 10:38:58 PM
I've got my pre-hrt blood levels back and it seems that my male hormone levels are off, with almost no free testosterone at all.

35 Year Old Bio Male:
Total T - 270 ng/dl
Free T  - 0.34 ng/dl
Free T - 0.13 %
LH - 4.3 mIU/mL
Estradiol < 12 pg/mL

I have a very low Total T level, but my biggest concern is that my Free T levels are almost 0% and regardless of my gender I don't want an absent sex drive.

"A healthy percentage for either men or women is around 2.5%"

"Many doctors believe that any reading below 2% means the patient should take testosterone supplements, and that any reading below 1% indicates a completely absent sex drive."

Anyone else on here with such a low Free T level either pre or post starting HRT?

My total T was like 240 at my pre-HRT lab work. Doctor didn't seem to be alarmed at all, just said "hey, you got a head start eh?"

/shrug

I just saw it as yet another sign that I was born with the wrong bits.
