Title: Progress - Almost 2 months
Post by: Ginny on March 01, 2014, 05:10:34 PM
So I started a moderate pellet HRT dose the first week of January, with plans to go for the second dose the first week of April.  I think this may be a tad too soon, however; it looks like its the only time in April I will be able to get time off to travel for a day. I will consult my Endo on that topic though. I also plan to go to a high dose at that time.  I didn't want to start at high though, because I wanted my body to ease into it and not have quite a schock. In brackets [] is when I noticed changes.

Emotions:
(+) Violent emotions that used to have to be actively surpressed now non-existent. [Week 3]
(+) Becomming more empathetic and less self-centered. [Week 5]
(+) Some things just make me cry, where I was a rock before. [Week 5]

Communication:
(+) Seem to have become much more talkative and social.  [Week 3]
(+) People comment on how much more friendly and approachable I have become. [Week 4]
(+) Management style has changed from Green (Technical) to Yellow (Mentor). [Week 6]

Energy:
(+) Physical energy spiked for a while.
Right now I seem to be having a lack of it though.  I'm thinking because I may just have been emotionally exhausted talking to a friend thats like a sister to me and explaining things to her and listening to some of her problems which I have no way to help her except to listen and just sort of be there if she needs me. I responded to some of it through email and I think brought up issues I had never even thought about before on how different people meant to me and I spent about two hours trying to get through the typing blowing my nose and having bouts of crying. My stomach hurt pretty bad afterwards and I collapsed into sleep for the next hour before I had to go to work.
(+) Mentally I am much more happy now and am having a harder time seeing the bad side of things. [Week 1]

Brain:
(+) Recognition ability has diminished slightly. [Week 3]
(+) Orgasmic capability amplified [Week 3] (more of the buildup and afterwards than the orgasm itself, though that was good too.)
(+) Careing capacity increased. [Week 4]
(+) Pain response: Emotional increased, physical unchanged. [Week 5]
(+) Error Catch Response still active but moderately slowed. [Week 5]
(+) Memory Recall slowed. [Week 6]
(+) Mathematics ability undeminished. [Week 6]
(+) Technical understanding undeminished. [Week 6]

Physical:
(+) Breast buddings at pea size. [Week 2]
(+) Skin slightly softer, but could be due to use of body lotion. [Week 4]
(+) Face less oily. [Week 4]
(+) Disc under breasts about 5cm in diameter. [Week 4]
(+) Body hair growth slowing [Week 5]
(+) Weight has remained at 54-55kg (~120-125lb) fully clothed w/ heavy winter jacket [Week 6]
(+) Head hair growth... not fast enough
(+) Apparently I smell like burnt sugar / the making of cotton candy by my co-workers? [Week 6]

Other:
Shopping has become fun and sort of dangerous (to my finances).
Content to just curl up and watch a movie.
Violent videogames/movies have lost all appeal.
embarrased but felt I should put it down: keep having phalic images pop into my head and dreams
Constantly nit pick with my hair / face.
More sensitive to loud noises.
Tip: Always where a bralette or sports bra even when you're flat like me when clothes shopping. Soo much pain after the first few shirts otherwise  :'(

Who Knows:
Mom, Step Mom, Dad, Step Mom, Brother, All Friends, 4/15 co-workers
Still need to come out to:
Grandparents (just need to find time)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
So after that I do have some questions.
(1) Do breast buds / stall for long periods of time? My breast area hasn't done anything since week 4.
(2) Does anyone else at this stage feel like their face is ugly? I'm trying to see a female face in the mirror but my stupid brain won't cooperate.
(3) Are their any changes I should expect on the hoizon?
(4) Why is any wieght I seem to gain going to my stomach  >:( ?
(5) I'm already suplimenting my daily diet with Ensures and Cliff Bars for added calories, any other suggestions to gain weight?
(6) Does anything in my list seem odd?

For me , adding progesterone (bio-identical) to estrogen has helped me in some of the areas you're having difficulty with...

*breast growth. Fuller, heavier, more bouncy. Buds are larger, breasts are rounder. Constant soreness.
*seeing myself in a more positive way...and it appears my face is more feminine, softer, rounder from adding P or that I'm finally in sync with reality because of P as it calms the brain and all negative thoughts that might interfere with reality. :)
*my stomach weight is reducing, I feel less bloated...P apparently reduces water retention. E tends to increase it. Could also just be that I'm less stressed, thus less water retention. Not sure.
*P can help with female fat distribution although interestingly enough, I've had less appetite on it than on E alone when I was craving carbs/sweets alot and gaining a lot of weight in my belly :( P is turning that around :)

On the right mix of hormones, you should continue feminizing, having more curves, less body hair growth, finer body hair, fuller head of hair that grows longer, fuller more mature breasts, etc. But, it will also depend on genetics and your weight, height. Lost hair on the head might not ever come back...you can try adding finasteride, minoxidil, using Nizoral shampoo.

So currently my H:W is 5'7.5":120lb at age 27.  For some reason I'm just a tad bit shorter and 15lb lighter than the 6th grade version of myself (of course I have a lot less muscle too).  I am on a moderate amount of E pellets, and I think 1/2 a P pellet (1/2 because of rejection issues that occur with much larger from what was explained to me). And yes, I've pretty much had to force myself to eat and set sort of an internal memo to myself to get to the kitchen or at work to get to my coat to pull out a cliff bar. As for hair loss on my head, I've never really experienced that.  My Papa on my moms side still has a full head of hair at 70 something.

Thanks for the reply Kay  :)

I'm the same with head hair. My dad has still a lot of his hair that remains and his grandfather was the same although my dad's dad was bald. On my dad's mother's side, family has thick head of hair. I was lucky. :) My mom's side is not so good.

I'm 5'6, almost 160 lbs but at a good weight. I wear size 8-9 dress, pants. When I weighed 140-150 lbs, I was too thin. Thin in the face, no curves, no breasts. So, you need a minimum of fat for some curves and breasts. Increase in estrogen helped me gain weight but progesterone appears to stabilize it.
