Title: "Your" first bra (sticky fingers counts!)

My first and only bra was an AA cup that was red/blue flannel with black simple lace. It was exaggeratingly feminine because it was meant to be a girls rite of passage
It once belonged to my youngest sister but she had like four.
I remember it with fondness.

It's seriously too long ago for me to remember, but I remember trying on my mother and sister's stuff (conveniently, my mother actually kept some of her clothes in my cupboard, the overflow from her own closet!). I can't remember any specific bra but do remember using oranges to simulate boobs under the dresses so it's possible I borrowed a bra too.

That is super convenient! Lol!
I had always used socks as they were handy and though 30, I don't think I'll ever forget thst bra. A symbol of a path I chose not to take.

I owned my first bra at the grand old age of 19. In my early cross dressing days I stuck to pantyhose and panties..
So at 19 I wore my first bra, it was a black padded bra with some satin to make it look girly.. It was a c cup bra and it housed my homemade breasts..
That bra does not fit me anymore.. Hrt changed my band size and my cups are bigger.. But I keep it for memories.

My first was a white wireless B-cup. I didn't quite fill it at the time - oh, how far I've come ^_^

My sister and I shared a room until she started high school, so her closet and mine was one and the same. Made things very easy.

My first bra purchased in 2004. I still have and wear it. A problem is that very few women here wear sports bra outdoors. When I was in Maryland, I used to wear it during summer outdoor exercises.

My story is similar to your own, but I was a few years older. I grabbed stuff my mom threw out or gave to good will. Over a few years, I built a sizable collection. I kept it in an old steamer trunk in the basement. I waited for times when I knew that my parents would be away, and dress up. I would also fool around with my mother's wig and makeup. I would stuff the bra with old socks. The results were so bad, I believe I ended up traumatized for decades.

I guess the first bra I actually remember is one I bought several months back, a nice black number - AU18B (US40C)...band was almost too tight and the cups a bit too big at the time but all fits perfectly now. Still haven't been able to hook it on from behind, need to put it on with the hooks at front, hook it up and swing it round before fitting the cups and putting my arms through the shoulder straps (a trick I learned from a few women who have trouble reaching around behind themselves)...can unhook it from behind though.

That is what I do everyday. The same is for most genetic women.

Cool, good to know. I've seen a couple put theirs on from behind bu maybe they were over flexible double jointed freaks
Not that I've seen all that many women putting their bras on so I wasn't sure of the front:back ratio.

I'm pretty sure the first bra I owned was the one I bought when my boobs were big enough to need a bra... ::)

I mean I can put one on from behind, but I feel stupid in the same way of trying to get my mouth to find a straw without looking at the glass... So I always just put it on from the front and spin it around, though my 36A is a bit tight, it isn't so tight that I can't spin it around comfortably.

I used to do the spin it around way, but I now do behind the back. Been doing long enough that it's usually pretty easy.
First bra I "owned"- stole one from my mom back in the day lol. First one I bought was the closest to the aisle, non granny looking one I could find at meijers at 4 am back in my teen years on a school night.

If you struggle to put your bra on from behind, it may be a sign that your bra band size is too small or your straps are adjusted wrong
I struggled in the beginning and I had also put my bra on from the front and then swing it around.. then I went for a professional bra fitting... I learnt if a bra fits right the strap with clip, should be approximately halfway down your back. When the straps are this low, then its not difficult to put on.. just takes some practice.
I have being required to wear a bra everyday now for about 3 years.. and I can put one on quite quickly..
I still love wearing them.. and it makes me feel so feminine.. I dunno why woman complain about wearing a bra..

oddly enough i cannot remember my first bra :(
i do remember my first pantyhose well though but not my first bra except maybe that it was too large. i wasn't into bras for a long time but since i 'discovered' them, i love them! i try to wear one as often as i can. i now have many although not as many as those that ended up in the recycling bins!

I'm bored, so I hope you won't mind me invading briefly.
I don't remember mine, but I probably had to be forced into it (I wanted to run around shirtless, dangit). It was probably a sports bra too. I wore those until 13, when I had precisely one bra and wore it until I replaced it with binding materials. Then threw it out. ::)
I remember my first man's underwear though, and like you ladies stealing your mother's or sister's bra, I stole it from my dad. I would like to stress they were clean underwear...(doesn't make it any less weird though, does it?)

First bra I ever owned turned out to also be the *worst* - a soft-cup design 40B (month 2 of HRT) that was a tiny bit too big so the cups wrinkled and sagged. That dang thing NEVER end up fitting; I tried it on weekly and it was always too big, until one week it was too small. Sheesh.
It also took me about a year to master the hooking behind the back thing. Lots of practice...
These days, I'm happy to get home and take the bra off. Even the professionally fitted ones are a little less comfortable than going bare, and now that my breasts don't usually ache I don't need the support/protection.

My first bra was a 38C that I bought at WalMart. It has white cups with a pink lace band that "wings" on to the cups and pink straps. I love that it came with a matching panty too. Sadly tho its starting to get too tight cuz of gaining some weight recently.

Thank you! :) They were white old man boxer briefs, probably way too big for me because he's kind of overweight but they were just so comfortable I never went back to panties. (Yep. I stole a couple more until finally I worked up the courage to buy my own.)
