Title: Soy milk

Soy milk has a real effect on my body and if I take even 3 small glasses a day, I notice. What facial hair I have left grows slower, I feel a small achy feel in my nipple area and I also start to feel a very noticeable decreasing effect on my sex drive and all. I heard 3 small glasses do nothing of this. I also have noticed a small improvement in the hair on my head getting a tad less thin. It's so weird as soy milk is not capable of this with 3 small glasses a day of soy milk. Is this unusual?

Maybe your body is attuned to phytoestrogens.

Hmmm Don't know about unusual but sounds awesome!
I started drinking soy out of curiosity. Just to see if it would change my body even a smidgen. Unfortunately, it didn't, however
the mental effects it had on my were wonderful. I definitely realized how much I hate having Testosterone in my body when I stopped drinking it. I'am sure you know about the phytoestrogens in soy, they can change your hormone levels. I have to say I felt a lot better(more feminine too ;)) just from drinking CHOCOLATE<3 soy milk :)

Really? I'm very skeptical, but I may try it anyway. I've never had soy milk before.

If I can suggest, you may want to start out with chocolate its kinda of an odd taste with the regular or even vanilla, see if it works for you too! :)

I should point out that searching "soy and gynecomastia" in the National Institute of Health database only spews out three articles, but you'll be happy to know that the reproductive tracts of male macaques were not adversely affected by ingesting soy. There is one interesting case report of a 60-year-old man who developed big ol' hooters and presented to a gland clinic for an answer. His gynecomastia eventually went away when they discovered he was drinking 3/4 of a GALLON of soy milk A DAY and told him to cut it out. With all the millions of people who ingest soy daily (there are countries where soy is a staple of the "normal" diet) the fact that there is one case report of one guy whose breast tissue was sensitive to soy products is reassuring to me.

"60-year old man" = James Price, Vietnam vet.

Not all that impressive, frankly.

Funny thing re: soy. I hate soy, except in very small quanties. But I often see it on various ftm lists and so on, saying "don't drink/eat soy" it feminizes you. Well I suppose if someone were really sensitive. They make a phyto-estrogen supplement for post-menopausal women called Estroven. I have no idea how or if that would effect anybody. I don't know how safe these are.

I'm a vegetarian, so I live on soy. Nor really sure if it had much impact on me prior to hrt. However, my testosterone level was apparently very low before I started hormones. In fact, my endo seemed to believe that I was self medicating because of it. Maybe soy had a part in it? In any case, I wouldn't plan on soy doing much feminization.

My wife and I were at Costco the other day and we picked up some Almond Milk. (My wife is allergic to milk, or casein to be exact.) I was asking if she would prefer soy. She jokingly said: "Well you know, you ought to be careful about having too much soy, it can increase your estrogen and make men grow boobs..." and laughed. Then she grabbed on of my breasts (there was no-one around at the time) and commented on how nice they are and she loves them. Then she said: "Thankfully that is not a problem for us anymore, but I prefer the taste of the almond milk." That helped made my day :)

Well, I picked up a carton of chocolate soy milk this morning, and I've drank three glasses of it over the course of the day. I don't feel any girlier yet. No tingly feelings in my breasts yet, either. Or any noticeable changes at all. But it's only the first day, so fingers crossed for awesome feminizing effects eventually! :D

It's gonna take time before you feel anything. I think it took a few weeks for me to start feeling anything mentally.
But I guess in the end it shouldn't be seen as a substitue for HRT, especially after seeing those "boobs" that guy in Jamie D's pictures!

Just a small warning..
Phyro-estrogens have a greater ability to bond to estrogen receptors than estrogen does, so if you are on HRT, this is something to consider. Phyto-estrogens are also far, far less effective..

I guess it depends how our bodies metabolize. We drink soy milk to avoid steroid, antibiotic, puss, mucus, and just outright yukiness from cow milk !!!
