ORLANDO SENTINEL (http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/orl-transgender15a07jul15,0,5763835.story?track=rss)

If only science knew. When it comes to transgender issues, researchers only agree that there's a lot they don't know.
"In simplest terms, a transgender is someone who feels trapped in the wrong body," says Dr. Michael R. Stevenson, a psychology professor at Miami University in Ohio.
Science can't pinpoint what causes it, or whether to classify it as a mental disorder. While researchers find the topic fascinating, public reaction ranges from curiosity to creepiness to See-You-In-Hell.
"God doesn't make mistakes," a co-worker told Duncan. "So who are you to change yourself?"
If God does make mistakes, he made a doozy here.
'I liked to hit'
"Greg was a bad-[expletive] middle linebacker," Garo says. "He was a terror."

QuoteThe American Psychological Association estimates that one in 10,000 males and one in 30,000 females are cross-dressers. Some do it for entertainment or sexual arousal, but many have cross-gender feelings.
Well, they just made a mess of what was already a bad statistic. Otherwise, I think it was a pretty good article. There seem to be a lot of these kind of stories lately, or maybe it's just that I'm looking for them now.

"A lifelong struggle really just came down to that. But getting there has exacted a price far beyond the $140,000 it is costing her to switch genders."
Wow, umm...geez I have no idea what to say to that. That is quite a bit of money there. I mean you can get full FFS for $40,000, Hair transplants for $10k, and srs for $20k if you go all out and electrolysis for 15k if you went the really exspensive route. HRT, Doctors, therapy...I don't see how it could ever cost 140k. Maybe BA, lipo, and surgical corset? I'd like to see that shopping list....wow.

Could include things like maybe memberships to gyms, maybe a tummy tuck, might have needed hair implants, chin implants, etc, etc.
it is not that hard to rack up the bills, if you have the money.
