i'm posting this because I like to know if my low weight which is under 100 ibs is gonna be a problem with getting accepted for hormone replacement therapy, I am MTF so I like to know if that's going to be a huge problem because I for one have no muscle mass so my weight has always been low and i have a hour glass body for a male which is strange so i just like to know if that is going to be a huge problem. i know its kind of early to ask that for me since i have just started therapy and going to my 2nd one tomorrow anyway help with this would be most appreciative. thank you

In most cases, not only this isn't a problem, but it is a benefit, because most people tend to gain weight due to HRT and, so having such figure will only help you to achieve feminine silhouette easier and faster, so I don't think you should be worried.
Before my HRT, I tried to drop as much weight as I can, but unfortunately, it wasn't enough, because I gained 13 kg. (28,5 lbs) and I was 80 kg. (176 lbs) for months, and couldn't drop even a gram, no matter how hard I was exercising, dieting, etc... The last 3 weeks, when I started progesterone, I finally started losing weight, which is somehow logical, because the estrogen slowers metabolism, and therefore leads to gaining weight, while progesterone balances some of the effects of the excess estrogen and speeds up metabolism, but as far as I know, this mechanism of the progesterone works only when the estrogen and the progesterone are balanced. Also, many genetic women after their 30's suffer from slow metabolism, hairloss, insomnia and are nervous, because in the 30's, progesterone level starts to drop, so there is some logic to work that way to us as well.

Thanks good thing to know, i have always been very low weight and its very hard for me to gain any weight heck i was denied to go into the navy because of it, i do believe that i myself has more estrogen then testosterone in me, but ive always felt like a woman inside and in high school i was very short about 4.0 so i didn't really grow til i was about 17 years old. ive always been thin and its strange too since after puberty i had AA breasts which most men don't get but like i said ive always felt like a female inside and i have no regrets since i know who i am inside, ive delt with a lot of stuff between weight, alcoholism and being antisocial in high school i didn't have a lot of friends when i was younger and i sometimes didn't care about it.
