Title: Utrogestan/Prometrium and breast growth

Hi there :)
I post this topic, because I am curious about the situation with Utrogestan/Prometrium and breast growth. The reason is that I started taking Utrogestan almost a month ago - the first 8-9 days I was taking . daily, sublingually, at bedtime, then switched to in divided doses - in the morning and in the evening. So far I experienced many nice results, but I am wondering why nothing is happening to my breast yet...? I remember, that when I started HRT, I felt soreness and tenderness after less than 3 weeks on hormones and my breast started to grow until the 5th month, when it just stopped and never started again :(
Is there anyone, who can share some experience about the topic...?

I've been on Prometrium for the last month or so, I think. I almost instantly saw an increase in breast growth, protrusion, fullness. The effect is most marked 2-3 hours after taking it (when sedative effect also kicks in) and for at least 6-8 hours afterwards.
I take it with fatty food for increased absorption (concentration rises up to 200%) and regularly eat grapefruit which also increases (slightly, is variable across individuals) bioavailability. I take it twice daily due to short half-life.
It also relaxes me. :)

You might have already topped out on what your body "thinks" are big enough for your body mass and genetics?
Utrogestan sounds like a country in central Asia and Prometrium an ancient Roman town. ;)

I might have to tell my endo to get me on some prometrium shots. I'm a month and 3 days in without so much as a tingle in that area.

I knew that grapefruit only affects the estrogen absorption... never heard it helps about progesterone.
I also take Utrogestan with fatty food, because of the effectiveness.
My breasts are small for my body... I am something between A and B cup now and my mother's breast is big - I mention it, because I've read, that size of the breast of a t-girl reaches about the 75-80% of mother's size, so I am still far from this achievment... That's why I am concerned.
P.S. The names really sound like cities :D I've never thought about them in that way :D

Time to talk to your doc about upping your dose and stock up on grapefruit?

Bio-identical progesterone (what is found in Prometrium) can be injected (i.e. Gestone) but it only lasts 1-2 days and requires frequent injections. Very inconvenient and painful for your butt! Better to stick to oral.

Ceska Gynekol. 2003 Mar;68(2):117-21.
[Does grapefruit juice increase the bioavailability of orally administered sex steroids?].
"Though grapefruit juice on average slightly increased serum levels of estradiol (E2) and progesterone, this increase reached statistical significance only for the E2 level 24 hours after application of tablets. The mean area under curve (AUC) of estradiol rose significantly to 117%. The even greater increase in the mean AUC of progesterone (to 125%) was not statistically significant because of marked individual variability of response."
"Our results suggest that grapefruit juice may increase bioavailability of orally administered estradiol and progesterone. The response varies markedly between individuals. This observation may be of some importance also for users of OC and HRT."

I will try with grapefruit then... although I don't like the taste very much.
I don't have a doctor, because Bulgaria is the country of the absurd and there is no other way than just doing things on my own, believe me - I was trying for 10 years.
