Title: HATE MY MUFFIN TOP! RAGE!!!!!!

I have had a muffin top for as long as I can remember and I need to get rid of it. Any exercises that work well? I need to lose about 20lbs.

Intense cardio.
And not just walking, but running/jogging.
Good diet will help also.

I have the muffin top problem myself. Does anyone know of a way to get rid of it if you can't run? I'm kinda stuck due to sports injuries that wrecked my joints.

Funny thing, didn't have one 'till about month 4 of hrt. No weight gain, just some kind of cruel relocation. I'm hoping it keeps migrating south 'till it hits "the bottom" :D

the number one factor is that you burn more calories than you consume. cardio will help with that as you will be burning more, obviously, but also you can eat more to satisfy your appetite while still being on a caloric deficit.
try to track what you eat (approximately. no need to be too strict, really) and work that out with your daily energy expenditures (your BMR plus activity levels for the day) and shoot for a deficit of a few hundred calories each day.
i've been doing this while eating terrible things like mac n cheese, pizza, beer, or whatever (as long as i met the above goals, tho it's a lot more difficult with junk food) and i have lost nearly 20lbs in 2 and a half months.

It's impossible to spot-treat areas of fat. The body usually likes to keep the muffin fat around till the bitter end for some reason. It will probably be the last fat you lose and the first fat you gain.
So, to get rid of it you might be looking at having to be rail thin- which just isn't always right for everyone. If that is your plan, cardio and diet is probably the best option to make your body take that muffinness out of deep storage.
I'm not advocating plastic surgery, but fat transfer is a great way to permanently take care of that issue without having to become a rail... And fat is useful in other places like the face (and hips/bum for mtfs). I am definitely planning on doing it at some point, but that is just me ;)

i've been wondering about fat transfers as well. do you know how well the new fat sticks around, how it responds to physical activities, etc.?

There seems to be a lot of research going on about adipose tissue transplantation, gives me the sense that we will be seeing some really good advancements in the next 5 years.
Basically the only problem with it is that some of the fat gets reabsorbed (if it doesn't attach itself to a blood supply). The advancements coming down the line include supercharging the fat to be transplanted with stem cells & PRP (platelet rich plasma) being added to the mix before re-injection. From my research, it seems that those two things added help the fat form the proper bloodflow networks and it doesn't reabsorb- it reconnects and stays.
Another interesting thing I've seen talked about over the web is the possibility that fat behaves just like it did from the donor site. So basically if you transplant that belly fat somewhere else, it will still behave like the belly fat did and stick around till the bitter end if you catch my drift... But in this case, that would be a good thing.
I get the impression that when the fat successfully reintegrates itself, it becomes soft again and feels just like natural flesh. It is not going to move around on you- besides the natural course of gravity that is!
With the tried and true ways, surgeons seem to get about 50-60% of the fat to survive. But I have read with new things like the stem cells & PRP added, it is about 90-95% survival of the fat.
Also keep in mind that it is probable that some fat will die from lipo removal trauma, so it's not like you can say with 1L of lipo'd fat you'll get 1L to inject. This also seems to depend a lot on the method of removal (standard cannula lipo vs tickle lipo or vaser ultrasound lipo). I have a feeling it's probably somewhere around half, but that is just a guess based on videos where I've seen them separating the viable fat cells from the damaged fat cells.
Surgeon's technique seems to play the biggest part with the current ways.
Also there are a few docs I have found that are already offering stem cell & PRP enriched fat transfers. I haven't decided on anyone though.

if this is true it would be the most amazing thing. just take my stubborn gut fat and give it to mah hips!! yes!!~! haha
