Title: A question for my fellow gun nuts.

So I love tactical vests....hell I own two, both set up differently for different possible engagement scenarios. I'm wondering tho, has anyone noticed there vests not being able to be worn after breast development, or did you just have to adjust your side straps and shoulder adjustments?
Thanks for yalls feedback because with my Blackhawk costing over $150 plus what i spent on soft armor, I would really hate to see it go up on Buds.

As someone who has not worn body armor in over a decade my only suggestion would be to check the manufacturers website to see if they make female contoured vests. As far as I know they are all just adjusted for body size and shape with the side straps. But again it is not something I have ever looked into and I am hoping to not need body armor anytime soon :)

The vests and body armor are not really made to fit a female frame. I have a BPV I got from a neighbor he bought for his daughter.
It is supposed to be for a larger female and fit great pre HRT, with very small breasts I noticed that it no longer feels right.
My sister does heavy duty sewing and tailoring so its easy for me to get them modified. You may have to find someone to alter your vests.
Sorry hope that helps

Might be able to modify the carrier but women's contoured vests tend to come from the factory that way X)

I have them for tactical training, range days and the ever so popular shtf situation. One is set up with 4 double mag pouches allowing me to carry 8 mags for my AK, 5 handgun mag pouches, radio pouch, flashlight pocket, first aid kit, hydration bladder and shot shell holders, internal map pocket and has Kevlar panels in it rated for medium caliber rounds. It's my training/shtf vest....my other vest is set up for concealed carry under a hoodie or jacket. I mostly use that one for range days or in the event of needing to blend in during a bug out situation I can still be armed to the gills and no one would know unless I have to draw my handgun in a self defense situation. That one tho also has a less then lethal set up on it with my X series Taser and bear mace.
that's why I own them lol.

Heh... Some people spend inordinate amounts of money on shoes, some people collect stamps, and some people devote a serious amount of time and net worth to weapons and military gear on the remote possibility (ie: rationalization) that they might actually "need" it.
If you think trans folk tend to be a bit odd, you haven't seen anything until you delve into the weird world of survivalists, preppers, would-be revolutionaries, and other EOTWers. Most are harmless but some are scary sociopaths.
Kariann-
From having talked to several pretty well endowed female friend who deployed and wore IBA/IOTVs (heavy .mil bodyarmor), you'd be suprised at what you can get away with with "normal" vests, in that that they will fit and be functional even if the girls get a little squashed. Yeah if you want form fitting (and slimming) you are going to have to spring for something tailored specific for the female form. A brief google search for "female tactical vest" turned up tons of images and links. Including this one, LOL:

To stop the bullets from the real crazies wandering around with guns, of course.
Don't worry, Cindy, being from a nation where you have stuff like "sensible firearms regulations" and "not glorifying extreme violence" and "better things to do than collect dangerous things", us girls Stateside hardly expect you to understand. :P
(I am joking, of course. But not really.)
