Title: My intro
Post by: JadeFla on April 21, 2014, 05:45:31 PM
Hi everyone. I'm 31 and seriously considering transitioning. I've always felt disconnected with my boy parts and now I realize my clock is ticking and if I want to live as a women I have to make it happen. I'm not happy living as a man.

I'm just here for some advice and support.

I'm 26 going on 27 in August and I feel the same way about the clock ticking. It becomes so frustrating sometimes though and other people's ignorance on the subject makes it really difficult. Welcome to Susans if you need anything just give a shout and I'll do my best to help. :)

Yep, we all hear clocks.  Starting young can have advantages.  However,  young or old, all are welcome.  C ' Mon in, ask a few questions,  answer a few questions and learn about yourself.

Hugs,

Jen

Welcome.  I'm 29 and started transitioning 6 months ago.  Clock was definitely ticking for me.

There is a thread somewhere with lots of girls posting in their 30s,well worth a read

Thank you all. I've checked out this forum occasionally over the years. Some of the threads of girls how started later than me and have been successful has really given me hope that I too can do this.

I've told a few people about how I feel, however it is really tough to find others who understand.

I've been reading other people's intros and realized mine is a bit weak, just don't expect me to bore you with my life story in just one thread.

I've always felt like I wanted to be a girl for as long as I can remember, pre-kindergarden. In elementary school I always liked to keep my hair long and was frequently mistaken as a girl. In high school I tried to be normal, I was asked often if I was gay. I dated several girls and hooked up with one guy, then I met a girl I liked that was into go to church so I tried that out for a year or two and gave up trying to be a Christian when I was a freshmen in college. I still new deep down I was a girl and had an affair with an older guy, I dropped hints about being trans but he was not into that at all. I also had my first affair with a transgirl and met another local transgirl my age. I wanted to come out and transition but I was too scared. I was involved in competitive surfing, wanted to go pro, even had a few photo endorsements incentives going for me through a few sponsors I picked up.

I eventually got an associates started dating and living with a girl and was not happy. I was working full time and going to school half-time and was burnt out on life, so when I was 23 I enlisted in the US Navy where I became an AT3,(aviation electronics technician Petty Officer Third Class). Broke up with my girlfriend(she never even knew I was bi) and left the Navy in 2009.

When I left the Navy I wanted to transition but couldn't do it because I found work as a lifeguard right after. I found another girlfriend and we started to live together and things were great until we got into an argument and I told her everything. She was shocked, we broke up and got back together several times but it was a mess and eventually broke it off for good.

Now I am dating a women who knows I am bi and likes my androgyny. She mentioned it one day and told me who I have a lot of feminine behaviors and before we started dating I was already considered one of the girls by the group we all hang with. I was amazed and it made me really think about what I want to do with myself so I joined this forum to check out my options.

Thanks again. I'm looking into my options with the VA for HRT now. I'm praying in a year or so I can start adding pics to the before and after thread.
