Title: lost ten pounds since starting hormones
Post by: Kylie18 on April 26, 2014, 02:10:54 PM
I am on spiro so I suspect it may be water weight. How can I prevent getting to skinny. I am a vegetarian for personal reasons so I can't just go out and eat a lot of meat to keep weight on.

has anyone else had an experience like this. I weighed 155 before starting and now I weigh 145. I haven't been on hormones a full week.

Vegetarian don't mean anything for weight loss. I been one for 40+ years and fight to lose weight. You can either eat more, or eat more calorie dense foods, or both.

Sounds like water weight? Losing 10lbs in a week sounds a bit out of the ordinary for actual fat loss. And muscle mass takes months-years to change.

Sometimes my weight fluctuates a lot. Especially if I am not getting enough sleep! (I tend to drop weight really fast)

Oh and I have to agree that being veg has very little to do with it. Meat by itself really won't cause you to gain much weight... Okay maybe fatty greasy meats like bacon ;)
