Hey guys its been awhile, but I have a question I hope someone can answer. So I have this fear of surgeries and being under anesthetics. My question is being on T for 1yr 9 months, will that effect anything aurgury wise. For instance I need a wisdom tooth pulled and last time I was put to sleep. Well this time im on T. Should I tell the doctor, or is it safe to say that doesn't matter. Should my body be medically treated as a male. Thanks guys!

It's a normal fear. Being under anesthetics isn't terrible but not much fun either. Having a wisdom tooth extracted is barely being under, since a dentist can do this. You are under but only barely.

It shouldn't matter that you are on T, being as our levels are in the cis male range. I personally wouldn't disclose to a dentist or oral surgeon and in fact didn't disclose when I needed a tooth pulled (I had to go to an oral surgeon as my dentist doesn't pull teeth).

Yeah I don't think it matters for such a procedure. I wouldn't necessarily disclose. My dentist knows because I didn't change dentists. But as I said, you really aren't "under" very far. You are mainly in a state where you could feel pain but wouldn't care.

I have never disclosed to my dentist here at all. I did tell him I was on hormones for a deficiency when he asked about medications but he said it wasn't a problem. In fact, he patted my shoulder and said "a lot of men, even in your age, are on medication for things like that. You don't need to mention it in the future if its embarrassing." I guess he thought I had a problem getting it up. If only he knew... XD

Ayden that gave me a good laugh for the night, but maybe it is just me being paranoid. Reason im nervous though, is because last time I went, I woke up twice in the middle of it. Just makes me worried you know? But I feel much better knowing T won't effect me when it comes to simple procedures.
