Title: A Raven's Symphony

Hello there. Just a little overture for my introduction.
As you could probably guess, I'm a classically-trained musician (though I'm so out of practice right now its not even funny) in brasswinds. I'm not exactly sure how to describe myself as I'm constantly trying to discover more about who I really am, since I repressed so much as a kid. I'm currently living as a male, but believe I am at least transgendered and possibly a full MTF transsexual. I just started seeing someone professionally to help me through this.
More about my personality: I feel like I have a connection to ravens and wolves, hence my username. I am also a very large geek/nerd. I play Dungeons and Dragons (3.5ed), my brasswinds (mainly euphonium/tuba), and any board game I can convince my friends to play. I am also a Browncoat, Treki, and am on an SG team (not really, I wish). The Marine Corps held my life for 3.5 years, until a drunk driver destroyed that for me. And that's me in a nutshell. Oh, I also grew up on a farm in rural Virginia.
I look forward to meeting ya'll and am really glad I found this resourse.

Welcome to Susan's, Raven. You must have some Native American blood in you.

Just a touch, one connection on my father's side about 7-8 generations ago. Either Algonquin or Iriquois, I don't remember. Most of my blood is actually Celtic (Irish, Scot, Welsh, Brittany, and Lowlands), with some Germanic tossed in for effect. I also identify most with the Celtic-style Paganism spiritually.

Hi Ravensong!
A BROWNCOAT! Never enough Browncoats on the 'verse. :D
Check out the Roll Call in the Transgender Talk section, you're not the only former military (or Marine) here. You're in fine company.
Welcome to the family. ;D

From one newbie to another, welcome aboard! as Claire said:
Plus a 3.5er! 4th was rubbish! Though if your into roleplaying and Firefly I fully recommend checking out the Serenity roleplaying game if you've got a DM who will run it! (luckily ours is a rabid Firefly fan so was more than happy to!)

I actually just left a dnd game to pick up extra shifts starting this week. I haven't looked the Firefly rpg yet, but I think I will. I have the Song of Ice and Fire (read Game of Thrones) rpg, but haven't been able to play it.
