I took a high dose of Spiro for 8 months! there wasn't really any change that anyone could notice. actually, the only change I noticed myself was nipples becoming sensitive and a teeny weeny bit of breast growth in the later months. so nothing that the average person would notice.

Hi Alyssa! I think it is just you getting hit with the reality of it caused by an early appointment. I really don't think you need to worry about big changes to your body for several months if then. Everyone is different though and their bodies react individually. I started to notice changes around the two month mark, but I have a different reaction to Spiro and "E" caused by genetics. I got back testing last month that confirmed 47XXY and another issue. :)

Thanks Jessica. I am sure you are right... it is just crazy to think that I might actually be headed down the road I have been thinking about for 15 years.
Nothing quite like that fish smacking you in the face, is there? ;D

Alyssa, while everyone's results are different, and you may "start" after a few months, or may start in a few weeks, you could always (depending on your Spiro and E form) delay taking them for a month or two until your project is already going, or nearing completion.  That way you wouldn't change so soon.. But tell the Endo/doc your plans/concerns also.  You may be put on low/micro dose until you are ready/able to  continue at a more normal rate.

Congrats Alyssa!  Extremely exciting news.  Please let us know how the HRT goes - hopefully the changes will be slow enough to fit around your hectic work schedule.   ;)
