Title: Genderfluid person saying Hi :)
Post by: Kittenwolf on May 06, 2014, 11:12:20 AM
Hi everyone :)
So, at the grand old age of 29 I finally admitted to myself that there was something going on with my gender, and worked out that I'm Genderfluid (basically, I flip-flop back and forth between feeling like I'm male and female, yes, it's as confusing as it sounds :) ) though the signs have been there for.. a number of years beforehand.

That was a year ago now and having finally gotten my own head around things (saw a therapist for a couple of months to sort through my own feelings on everything) and so I'm trying to find my way to being able to present as male or female depending on what I wish to at the time. It's going.. reasonable, at the moment voice & makeup are my major hurdles.
I'm out to a lot of my friends, whose reactions have ranged from "What's that? Oh, okay, so about that computer game..." to "OH MY GOD THAT'S AWESOME!! What should I call you??" to "Really? I've known that about you for years, I didn't realise you hadn't worked it out yourself yet". My mum & sister know, with.. various degrees of success or confusion, though I haven't told my dad, since it'd utterly crush him (yay for people with horridly stereotypical views on genders).

So.. yeah, that's me in a nutshell, hope to see a few of you around the forum :)

Yayy for gender fluidity! I'm very fluid about my gender, myself...gets frustatingg! It varies a ton for me, too. Are you AMAB or AFAB if I may ask?

Anyway, welcome to the site. I'm sure you'll learn something here ;)

/highfives for fluid!

I'm AMAB (as you can possibly tell at https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,164448.msg1420462.html).
I tend to swing between really girly, and moderately masculine without a huge amount of in-between. Girls have *way* better clothes & costumes though!
I also tend to swing back and forth a lot where breasts are concerned, flip flopping between "They'd make it hard for me to be a guy" and "->-bleeped-<- IT! I want boobs!"

Howdy,

I'm going for androgynous myself with a squishy center to play around in but I get what you are saying.  Welcome.
