Title: Ayyy
Post by: Rawb on May 23, 2014, 02:55:47 PM
Yes, hello, My name is Rob, I'm 29 and I'm a guy in the body of the girl (Ohhh cruel fate *shakes fist*). I'm a writer, primarily, though I do dabble in animation. I'm entirely responsible for this little project here (https://www.facebook.com/To.Dust.Webseries).

I guess it never really occurred to me that I could change my body to be more me, more male, until fairly recently. So I've only juuust begun doing stuff. I actually created a list, of all the things that I disliked about myself, and I'm working on changing them all, because I want to be who I want to be and I'm sort of sick pretending to be pleased with the way I am now.

I guess it's sort of odd, coming out with this now, since I've done the whole cis het crazy- I married a guy, had a couple kids, I'm going to college in September for an ECE diploma. The husband is surprisingly cool with me being transgender, and we've talked about it on and off. We're both pansexual, so nothing really changes there.

I actually juuust had my doctor appointment today, with the family doctor, and she's had a trans patient before, and referred me off to a headshrinker who deals with gender dysphoria, and it's going to take a few months to get an appointment, and I'm actually terribly impatient so these next few months are going to drive me crazy waiting. Thankfully though, I still have things on my list that I work on in the meantime.

I'm from Canada, and I thank my lucky stars for that, every second of every hour of every day, because all the trans-related surgeries are covered by the province  :D  So there's at least one thing I don't have to worry about.

Hi Rob and welcome to Susan's.

I, too, didn't know change was possible though I often dreamed about it. I'm glad you found us.

Having things to work on while waiting definitely helps pass the time.

I'm glad I found you too.

I'm glad I finally figured out who/what I am, and that I can actually be what I always saw myself as.
