True. Had a dream last night in which people were referring to me as "he" even though I was presenting as female. Felt quite humiliating. Stupid subconscious mind! :P

That is totally messed up Sis! Whatever you ate before bed must not have liked you.  ;)

Could be a responce to, the recent corecting people who mis gender you thread.

There is a lot of factors envoled in dreams, but more often then not the thintgs we think about right before sleep  can often have a larger role.

If you have had worries of being mis gendered, thought about how you would react if you was. and even just some recent passing concerns. however slight can all of been a factor.

Wow, that's some dream. ^~^ I'm glad it didn't bother you too much as your posted didn't seem depressed. Some dreams are just silly and goofy I guess.

Yeah it's happened to me (though reverse obviously).  I think must have been something I was thinking about. I considered it a nightmare.

Once I had this happen in my dreams 3 nights in a row. Each time someone would suddenly start calling me by my old name, and I would wake up.

I keep having them where I am a girl but for some reason am speaking in a male voice that gives me away.  Am I trying to tell myself something?

I have had dreams like this before, and just ugh, my mind hates me.

I am in an alcohol recovery program, and many in the program often share the fact that we have had a recent drunk dream. You wake up with a sweat and wonder, did that really happen? I suspect it is a natural phenomenon for the subconscious brain to play these kinds of old tapes as we transition. I am always so grateful when I awake and find that I am sober and that my life is significantly better than what I dreamed.

Funny I had some bad dreams recently. Took a while to realise it was only a dream. Not good as it raised some very bad memories :(

I hear you. I had a dream a couple of days ago in which I was attending some family event, so I was forced to dress up in a dress & high heels to attend it... and it all seemed perfectly normal that I should have to do so. All the while, a part of my mind was crying out 'but... but... this is wrong'.

It made me feel very uncomfortable when I woke up and I needed to take some time out to process it. It was just my brain working through all of those years I was forced to present as female so that I could 'fit in' and satisfy other people's ideas of who I'm supposed to be.

Darn,  Now I'm thinking I need to call the dream cops in.  My dream world is all over the gender map, sometimes in the same dream.  I always thought it amusing rather than disturbing.  I suspect that this too will pass in the fullness of time.

Not like drinking dreams at all, those are terrifying!  I'm glad I haven't had one of those in a couple of decades.
