Keep in mind, I am pre everything. My weight isn't where it should be, but I am looking forward to dropping pounds and getting in the best shape ever. My hair is about shoulder length but I had it pulled back in a bun.

Yesterday my little brother and his friend were outside, they are both 8. I asked them if they would like a piece of pizza and his friend replied with "Yes ma'am"  :o

I just smiled and turned around to go get their pizza. It was kinda amazing, to be honest. Gives me hope.

And kids are often the harshest judges. Congrats.

They should have said, "Yes miss" - you look nowhere near old enough to be a ma'am.

I almost missed my first mam. I was getting food at a place and the guy that took my order mam'ed me when we were done. At first I thought that he was talking to someone else and then I realized with a shock he was talking to me :laugh:

Thanks everyone! And I thought the same thing! Like wow children rarely hold back and are some of the most honest creatures on Earth  :D

No, that's NOT me. It's one of my favorite artists Lana Del Rey. I wish it were me!  :D

I just stumbled on her work a few weeks ago. I like the rythem of the music she puts out.  Anyways, to original topic: Congratulations, there's nothing quite like that first "ma'am" to make you feel all giddy inside.  ;D

Not sure what that would feel like. People don't 'sir'/'ma'am' in the UK, or at least the parts I've been to. Anyone have any idea if there is some sort of equivalent?

My Lady? Madam? Ms? Marm? Mrs? 
I'm pretty sure any of these could be used.

I've been getting "ma'am" pretty much exclusively lately.

And the other day, a kind southern gentleman even called me "Miss Roxy"  ...I about melted....lol.

You just wait; once you get on HRT, it will begin happening more and more (in boy mode!). I've been really lucky in that whenever I've been really down/GD has been getting to me a ma'am hasn't been too far off XD

Enjoy it, roll with it, and be proud! You're doing something right!
