Title: Ciao from Italy :)

Hello, I'm a transgender FtM from Italy :)
As I already wrote in another topic, I sadly can't transition because of health issues :embarrassed:
(I make a shortened copy and paste because not being native english speaker it takes too much to write it all again, sorry)
I had chemotherapy for a year and half to battle a youth hodgkin's lymphoma. Now I feel well but the doctors said my liver can't stand any HRT. I know I can't risk my young life again.
I went to a trans* help center anyway and they gave me a psychologist to help to accept my condition. I can tell I have a quite good balance but now and then I feel sad and need support.
What makes me relatively happy is that I'm naturally masculine enough to pass, I wear a binder all the time, I keep my hair short and wear male clothes. The real problem is that here in Italy you can't change your ID-card if you don't transition and have sex-reassignement surgery so I will always have problems with my identification...that makes me sad and pessimist about the future. I should have born in another country.
I started to tell "I'm a boy" since I was 3 years old, I introduced to new friends in playgarten with male name and I was angry when teachers kept telling me I was a girl. I felt ashamed and wrong. Growing I'm lucky my parents always let me dress boyish and express my self. They let me keep my hair short and naturally boost my masculinity. Ok I will never be a "real" man but I feel like one. The bad thing is that while my parents are fairly open mind when I pass they always point that I'm their daughter, even if I look like a son, I'm "their daughter" and for them I will be forever I think :/ The male name I always use was the first one I picked when I was 3/4 years old.
I am an activist for trans* rights and I volunteer in many LGBT associations. We make public events to speak about ->-bleeped-<- and transsexualism to spread knowledge and to show people that we are normal like the others. Weekly I volunteer in a youth LGBT group and that makes me very proud, I love to help others and in the meanwhile they help me :) I'm out and proud and I want to be recognized as transgender.
I am very friendly, I love martial arts (black belt in judo and karate), I finished my drama studies and I work writing stageplays, my parents were theatre actors.
My friends are very supportive, they try to understand me and I feel blessed for that, but not everyone is like them unfortunately :(
I come here to make new friends and to find/give support. Oh and to improve my English too. :)
Hope you welcome me, and sorry if sometimes I don't write correctly. I do my best.
Tiziano
PS: You know what's funny? With you all I must go with the middle name, because the male first name I use in Italy (Andrea), as you know, it's a female name everywhere but in Italy. No way I want to be mistaken for a girl here, LOL

Hi Tiziano ad welcome to Susan's.I'm happy that you are feeling better. Sounds like you have some support and acceptance. This is a great site. You'll be hearing from the regulars very soon. Happy that you found the site. It's great that you are involved in trans activism. So am I.

Or you could shorten it to Andy. That is usually taken as a boy name.
I can't figure out how to pronounce your middle name. My reading leaves a blank other than calling you 'T', which is just odd.
