Title: Crown Green Bowling?

Hi Everyone,
Last 18 months or so I've been playing Crown Green Bowls - outside on a 40x40yards lawn with a slight rise in the centre.
Bowls can be traditional lignum vitae hardwood or now mostly melamine and weight around 2.5pounds.
It is addictive.
I now belong to two clubs and play 4 games a week on fours separate local leagues.
Lots of lovely lady friends and nice men too.
We have regular dinners etc.
We have to play whether it is rain, gale or sun - last night was rain.
If anyone would have told me five years ago that I'd enjoyed playing a sport and getting cold and wet I would have said they were crazy.
