Title: Anyone going to the Philly Trans-Health Conference?
Post by: GorJess on June 10, 2014, 04:56:27 PM
Feel free to move if it's in the wrong section, but I was wondering if we had any members here going to this conference this year.

If so, if you want to meet me, just for like a boardie meet-up, it's cool with me! I'll be there Thursday and Friday, and have a few sessions; Expectations, Not Limitations: Stories of Empowerment and Change from Trans-Daughters' and Mothers' Perspectives, on Thursday at 10:20AM, and, on Friday, Justifiably Jessie: The Tale of a Teenage Transitioner, also at 10:20AM. Both are in room 103A, and last until 11:40AM, with loads of Q&A time, for the questions that will absolutely come up, of varying kinds.

Oh yeah...one potential thing, either session could be a trigger warning for some, since I'm focusing heavily on youth transition, and successful transitions while young, which is my story, basically. Doubly so with Thursday's presentation, as it's with my supportive/accepting/etc. mother, in addition to my co-presenter and her likewise super accepting mother, on Thursday.

Hope to see you there; the more the merrier! :)

I will be at the conference Thursday and Friday.

Your topics are a trigger to me (big time).

I need to review all the topics tomorrow night and plan the days. I would love to see your presentations/discussion and see how it goes. I am working on the issue.
