hi, sarah here I have a few questions about transitioning but didn't know where to post (new girl such a dweeb) I recently lost a lot of weight and body mass (400lbs down to 220 WAHOO and going) and it left me with nice C cup manboobs that are quite full with fat cells and breast tissue and the main question I have is how much breast growth can I experience once I start my hrt next month i have my letters its just a matter of appointments and timing? (chronic night owl HOO HOO lol ) I have also read that more than once of  other lovely women growing up to or one cup size smaller than our closest female relatives......im bigger than all of them, so where would that put me as far as breast growth and finally the last question with this considerable amount of "resources" I have on my chest, how do I tell what is new growth and what isn't  and how to monitor my growth such. any tips, advice, experience, and guidance will be forever appreciated!!! love you all

I've a very similar question to yours, with the letters and all ready, just waiting for an appointment. Am on the very thin side of the spectrum (140lb for 5'10) but all the females on both sides of the family are, comparatively, way thinner, with an ultra quick metabolism so I've no idea either what would happen if I was to play with my weight and go up, which I could now or in a few months when the E kicks in better. Am not sure there's an answer to this except, you will find to have out :( (which is not a satisfying answer for me either but maybe that's how it is?).

I really don't know how well moobs transform into boobs. You say there is breast tissue there but I wonder if it is the glandular development (that develops the milk ducts, etc) that is driven by estrogen which is really needed for proper growth. This question does come up from time to time, someone should be able to help.

I think you have potential for them to give you a desirable outcome.  Perhaps the saying "The bigger the foundation, the bigger the building" lol.

I don't have any answers for you but a big congratz on the weight loss.

Can't really comment much on the man-boobs thing other than (and this is just an assumption) male breast fat development differs in its anatomy from female breast tissue, so while you might have a hard time telling the difference by way of appearance, you'll definitely "feel" the difference.

But i gotta say more than anything ~ losing that much weight is QUITE an achievement.  :icon_flower: Congrats on that ^_^

Partly it depends on whether it's actually breast tissue or just fat; neither is good or bad overall, but as a starting point if there's genuine breast tissue there it suggests that your body really likes E, which is usually a good sign. I had gynecomastia (slight but significant breast development) pre-HRT, and I was a 42D by the end of the first year.

Monitoring growth will be easier than you think, I suspect, as growing breasts are usually both sore and "perky" in a way that fat alone isn't. :) You can also use both measuring tape and a couple of "test bras" to keep tabs on things; I had one bra I liked to take out and see how much I filled it each month or so.

I also think the one cup size smaller thing is a myth; genetics play a part, but like cis girls, we get what we get. (My mother is 34B and I'm 42DDD. Heh.)

I was 297 and a 46C in Nov. 2011.  Today, I'm 194, one+ year HRT and a 40DD.  They are well in the range of typical female breasts in shape. 

Loose skin has  been an issue everywhere except in the breasts, ass and legs. 

It's all good. Will get some loose skin removed though.

thank you all so much for all of your congrats it wasn't easy but darn it ive done ALOT of changing to become who  I am and still going strong well I guess I will have to wait and see and pray that I develop the way I want to....self denial is a very destructive thing and I kick my self every day for letting it get that bad soon ill change my avatar picture to what I actually look like....now to muster the courage to take a picture.again thank you all for the helpful insights and advice and links love you all sarahshaddows  ps I just woke up lol going back to bed
