Title: Haircut preparation
Post by: Rhys96 on June 13, 2014, 10:11:03 PM
I'm thinking about getting a haircut and I currently braids on. Currently, my hair's pretty long and puffy, so it'll be pretty odd for an African-American to walk in to a barber shop or whatever with a lot of hair. Does anyone have to be any solutions or help? My plan is to get a haircut on my birthday or the week after.

Thanks for responding in advance.

It's not that weird for us to go to a barbershop, even with long hair! Go to one that is run by African Americans or you can learn to cut your own hair. I just learned to buzz my own hair with a wahl, but I sort of want longer hair for braids. If you want braids you can go to a salon and tell them you want a masculine braided style. How long is your hair, and what are you thinking of for shortness/style?
