Title: breast form recommendations for sensitive breasts (from hrt)?
Post by: KatelynRain on June 14, 2014, 11:50:04 AM
I have been using silicone breast forms (inside pocketed Amoena bras for years).  I started HRT several months back and my nipple area is tender and painful, and using the silicone breast forms in a bra now irritates my sensitive chest.  Does anyone have any suggestions for an alternative breast form that looks decent but doesn't irritate or hurt developing breasts?   I'm still mostly flat chested, so just using a padded bra wouldn't suffice.  I would need an actual form or something to stick in them to make it look more realistic.

Some breast forms are made for people with some breast tissue. They to some degree have a little space around the nipple/areola area. Kind of like a hollow. You might try those out. I had the same problem and they worked for me.  Another option is to get foam forms and make a customized hollow yourself. Use two sided tape to attach them so there is not any fabric from a bra designed to hold forms rubbing you :)

There is a company called SuperGel Products that makes a line called Pals Breastforms.

They come in multiple sizes and skin tones and have several customization options where they can mold a concave into the back of the forms to accommodate natural breast tissue. I wore them for years before I began HRT and found them to be realistic looking and comfortable.

I lost the link, But I have a small B cup, and I prefer to look like a D, They make Silcone bra's that are designed to look like larger breasts. I have one, but I warn you, most of them cost a real pretty penny.
