Title: is everyone ready for the beaches
Post by: stephaniec on June 16, 2014, 08:44:37 AM
Just wondering if the bikinis are ready to go. for myself I need to do a little more work on the stomach  area before that happens.

Yea, I did too much heavy lifting in my career . My upper body needs to slim down . Too much muscle need to evaporate. There was a time in the past I was pretty proud of my arms ,but it makes it difficult to wear sleeveless dresses or dresses with skinny straps. I keep hoping for the HRT to melt it away

Almost I need to wear a long top though.  Too many welding burns.  I need to find a better way to protect my neck and chest.  My jackets have gotten too loose on me now.  Soon once my hair grows out a little longer I will definitely be living in a bikini.

Been DYING to go to the beach but its been raining every single weekend -_- and I can finally confidently wear a bikini now (according to my wife, body-wise i look like an average girl), though despite her encouragement, I'll probably stick to a tankini for now until I personally feel I'm ready to sport a normal bikini. Been wanting to step up from 1-pieces for a while now.

It's kind of ironically funny. I'm quickly approaching being in the best shape of my life by far, but I'll have to avoid going topless in public for the near future(still in male mode for now)

I was admirin' my nice abs in the mirror with an "awww yeah", then pulled my shirt up a touch and was like, "um, those might cause some awkwardness at the beach" LOL.  :D

I get sunburnt just thinking about the beach.

I am too fat right now, but I do think by this time next year I might be acceptable since I have been putting forth some good effort.

I'm inching my way to losing weight . trying to eat less and more fruit and vegetables next summer I should be totally ready with the effects of HRT and weight loss

Ready or not here I come :)

I might even take my stand up paddle board to Tahoe and float around one of the "less frequented" areas first.

Can't do the Bikini.  I still have lose sking from loosing 102 pounds.  Getting tighter but it takes time.  A one piece or a bikini bottom with a long top works.

Doing jet-ski's!!!

Yes, I've already been out.

Hugs,

Jen

Oh gawd, I want to get my Morey Mach 10 Body Board out and hit those 12' sheer wave faces during the north east atlantic hurricane season. Been so long.

But now that my hair is long and I'm growing boobs ... I don't know! Maybe a full wetsuit is in order.

The added buoyancy is great! Hehehe.

I just wear board shorts and a t shirt over the suit. Protects me from burning. But not from a jellyfish in the face the last time. Ouch!

I have some stretch marks on my tummy, it looks exactly like the ones that would have resulted from a pregnancy, so I am with you on the one piece.

Ask me in six months when it's summer in Sydney again. Admittedly our winters aren't that bad (certainly nothing freezes). I think I'd get a one piece though, more slimming.

My sister and I were discussing exercise, and she thought I should start swimming. I thought "That's a great idea! Do I own a swim suit? Why don't I own a... Oh. Right. That thing." She keeps forgetting that me being taller than her is not the only difference.

As soon as my new parts are water-soluble,
You bett your butt I'm hitting the beaches. I've spent way too much time without experiencing the magic of sand in my vagina - and, well, it's just about time to change that. :$

Well, I could combine bikini with a skirt to cover that mess between my legs. But since both my eyes and skin are very sensitive to light I'll stay with my lovely paleness :-) .

I love walking on the beach at night, maybe making a bonfire and hanging out with friends, my pale skin can't do the whole being out in the sun thing. Also I probably look better at night lol

Thanks for that idea Hikari! I think I'll do just that when I have a vacation at the end of July and two of my friends from Italy fly to Czech to visit me. We don't have a sea but still, there are quite a few lakes and even some ponds here :-) .

I may be on estrogens for just 2 months + 5 extra weeks on antiandrogens but being 182cm tall (not that rare in Czech) with initial measures of 86-80-90 the only problem I really have is the thing I won't get rid of until like next fall :-) . I yet have to remeasure as it changed surprisingly a lot at breast and hips.

PS: In case you have different female size system then it goes like this in centimeters around:
1.) Chest across breast
2.) Waist
3.) Hips

EDIT: Added the missing word "around" to the PS section although I guess it's obvious :-)

I assume laser depilation. My 5th comes on Wednesday 25th.

About me being a mountain I think you should take a flight to Prague. I'm by far not the tallest. However I'm among the slimmest :-) .

Actually I was shopping today with the help of my colleague and we found a dress for like a 2 meter tall woman :-D . I wanted to put a picture in but it failed. I guess I can't link an image yet.

??? I said I am a mountain girl, not a beach one. I'm all about hiking, going up... there is nothing I can't stand less than sand, sun burns and half naked people.

I'm only 175, and I would not like to be shorter. It's one of those things that give me confidence. Suach as high heels.

Seeing this thread pop up reminded me that I STILL haven't managed it. I wore a bikini in the pool, but no beach yet, and I really meant to go this year. Better hurry up!

I did go last year, but even at a year post-op I was kinda afraid the sand would hurt me somehow... now I'm a lot more secure.

We went to the beach on Thursday with my wife and her parents. We had fun and I chose the one piece with short shorts option and that worked out well. (My wife was wearing a one piece with spandex biking shorts (not the ones with the padding.) I chose the shorts option not because fear of anyone seeing a tuck, but because I just looked better with my huge thighs. My mother in-law did comment on how well I looked in a one piece, so that was nice :)

When the swimming suit in public question came up last year I opined that my public pool days were over.  Since then I have worn a one piece with a miniskirt swim ruffle and passed just fine.  More importantly for me, I now feel much more confident as my transition has been very affirming and rewarding.  Once again it seems that my fears were overblown and most people could care less anyway.  We went bicycling yesterday along the trails of our Oregon coast beach and thoroughly enjoyed the sunshine, waves and sounds of fun and laughter.  Ya, lets get on out in the sunshine.

Oh my, I admire you all for being able to enjoy sand and sunshine. Hope anyone that visits the beach or has visited has a fantastic time.  I'm effectively a vampire when it comes to such things. I tend to see the Sun as a giant fiery ball that's trying to kill me with heat and harmful forms of ultra-violet while the texture of sand makes me shiver with weirdness. I always hide inside or under a parasol and wear SPF even on rainy days. Accordingly, my skin is deathly pale and holidays are to cold places with no sand around. No beach or bikini for me, ever.  :P

Lonicera may I suggest a winter visit to our Pacific NW coast?  The 70-80 inches of rain and lack of sunshine keep our population sparse.  They filmed that last vampire series just up North near the Washington State coast and town of Forks.

After laser beard removal SPF is mandatory for this girl.  Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize!  Oh, and then stand out in the drizzle;-)
