Title: Anyone tried teeth-whitening methods?
Post by: crowcrow223 on June 16, 2014, 12:46:47 PM
Anyone? Anything? I have severely stained yellow teeth which I hate. I don't want to do anything abrasive or damaging, or expensive... I was thinking of trying out crest 3d white and the whitening pouches, what do you guys think? Thanks for any suggestions!

I think there was a thread on this recently.

Try Activated Charcoal. I use it and have really white teeth. http://www.crunchybetty.com/dazzle-whiten-your-teeth-with-activated-charcoal

You can get a good-sized bag of it cheap on Amazon.

Some people say use baking soda, but it's too abrasive.

OTC stuff will never be enough to actually whiten your teeth. If you have severely yellow teeth, your issues might be more than just stains. You should see a dentist about the overall health of your teeth. If they are healthy enough, get a professional teeth whitening system that includes molded trays to fit your mouth properly. You can probably expect to pay $250-$500 depending on where you live, what dentist you see, etc. Insurance usually doesn't cover this.
