Title: Martial Law in Thailand and how it effects SRS patients
Post by: JessikaBlackMage on June 16, 2014, 04:51:49 PM
So I am considering using Suporn for my SRS and I have noticed that Thailand is under martial currently. I am wondering if this creates a problem for people traveling to Thailand for surgery..?

My friend is in Thailand right now. She first stayed on Bangkok for touristic activities. Now she is in Chonburi for surgery. I have heard no complaints from her :) seems like issues dont affect tourists.

The military has loosened up on the curfew considerably in the more touristy areas.  Carry a xeroxed copy of your passport on your person.  They aren't bothering visitors as long as they aren't participating in any protests.  They are letting people through pass through curfew from the airport to their hotels during the Martial Law because they don't want to strangle the economy by being strong handed towards medical tourists which bring alot of cash to spend.

I leave the states August 2nd and arrive August 3rd.  I'm going ahead and having surgery with Dr Pichet on August 5th.  I hoping for the best.  Kathy
