Title: What to do with binders after surgery

Is there a way to donate used binders to people who cannot afford to buy new? I am willing to mail them, I just want to be sure they go to someone who needs them, and who is the right size.

I would love to burn them and dance around the fire, but I would feel better if they could help someone else.  :P

lol yeah...I've been a receiver of binders from others and was really grateful because I was so broke at the time. :) And I've sent binders to others as well. You could post on Susan's that you want to give some and have people PM you. You could do it on Tumblr too in the ftm tag, or there's a program called Big Brother binders or something like that.

Yes! It's the Big Brothers Binder Program, and it's just for trans guys who can't afford binders (drag kings, cos players, etc. need not apply).

It's a great program -- it's run by one guy, Nick, who does an amazing job considering that he also has a life and makes no money off this. He accepts donations of "lightly used" binders, and also gets some donations of new Underworks binders.

Note that if you're under 18, your parents have to do the application on your behalf -- no exceptions.

I recommend looking into the Big Brother program, it could really help a chap or two out. It's great that you've been looking to do something useful with your binders after surgery, since others may be needing them greatly. How generous!  :)

It's nice you want to donate your old binders, if one day I can have surgery I'll do it too.

Great guy Nick, I like his job. My dream is to organize a Big Brother program here in Europe too :)

There are other folks doing this as well. This is A Lion's Fears on youtube and he is a very nice guy. I met him at Philly Trans health last year.
