Title: Appointment with a Therapist

Ok so I have made an appointment with a therapist who provides consent letters for orchiectomy.  My first appointment is July 16.  She requires two sessions.  I have never done this before and don't know what to expect.  Does anyone know what she will ask me?  She knows I'm a transsexual because I told her in an email.  I'm also curious as to why she requires 2 sessions.  One look at me though and she won't have any doubt I'm transsexual.  Its painfully obvious that I am not a boy.

With my personal experience the first session is just getting paperwork and evaluations done. It takes most of the hour. The real Therapy starts usually on the second session and depending on their evaluation of you they may plan more sessions until they feel comfortable signing the letter.  :)

Well unless insurance will pay 2 is going to be my limit.  I can't afford to be strung along.

Amy if they are not comfortable signing the letter so early on you may not have a choice. They will not put their name on it until they are sure it is the right thing for you. You are totally convinced and now they have to be. It is just part of the process sweetie. Nothing goes fast in this world except time.  :)

Well it's a wait and see kind of thing I guess so I'll see how it goes.
