Title: Really sorry to do this... but boob question? xD
Post by: Carley Anne D on June 25, 2014, 07:48:29 PM
Hi everybody, I haven't posted in a really long time, I had a lot to figure out and deal with. Anyways, this is my third day on HRT, and I was wondering... How do you know your boobs are growing? Sorry if this is in the wrong place, if it is hopefully a mod can move it.  I keep feeling small twinges of pain in my chest area, and my nipples are erect fairly often. But I was wondering if that's possible this early? I'm young and my family gets their boobs at like nine years old but still, shouldn't it at least be two weeks or something? And if they are growing, any words of advice from anyone? Also, I'm worried that although my chest isn't overly large my boobs might look weird, like grow out to the side O.o any help or input would be amazing, thanks ladies!:D

It is not unheard of for nipple sensation to occur this early. Are you only on an anti androgen right now or "E" as well? Sounds like genetics could be great in your family for their formation anyway.  :)

Best and true way is measurements, use a sewing flex measure.

Measure just under your breast line, like where a bra would lay.
measure just over your nipples
measure above your breasts like under your arms.

Keep tracking these measurements is the true way to gauge breast growth.

I am on anti-androgens and hormones, I started them both at the same time three days ago, prolly should have mentioned the AAs before, sorry :)

I did what Izzy did and started a journal with weight and measurements at the start of HRT. That way you know it is not just in your head because you can measure real progress. I measured everything such as major muscle circumference, weight, height, chest, etc.  :)

I guess it makes sense, and I'm going to start keeping sizes written xD I was just curious because everything I've heard is that its a dull pain? So I was weirded out because I keep getting random stabbing pains that literally make me feel like someone jabbed a hot needle in there >_<

I was lucky, over the years, starting with pueraria mirifica and later with bovine ovary, I had very little discomfort. I think since it was a slow process, maybe that was why. Just some soreness now and then on the breast and nipples.

Yeah. I'm sure it'll get worse, I still worry I won't get boobs or something so I guess its a good thing, cause hopefully since its this early and my genetics I won't have to worry for long XD

Dull pain and itching??? Bah... just wait till You bump them into something... Lots of fun for nearby people to watch how in split seconds  Your facial expression undergoes drastic changes (from sudden surprise to painful realisation). It gets less painful with time though and Your body learns its new boundaries and gets different spatial awareness (like "wanna lean against wall? hands first, body second" lol).

Haha I'm very clumsy so I am pretty worried about the spacial reasoning thing... I tend to just be bad at... Well moving my body in any way xD that's what I get for being a nerd, kept my body petite though lol. Another question, I'm six foot two and 155 pounds... I seriously look almost sick and I'm getting crap from my family for it constantly lol, my question is, would gaining weight help with my boobs? And I've heard about people cycling their weight, by like ten pounds, raising and lowering it repeatedly, to help fat redistribution. Does anyone think this would work? Sorry to bug gals, just curious :) also, thanks for all your help on the responses before everyone, its very appreciated!

Pain is excellent teacher and will teach Your body its new discipline (OMG, this almost sounds like BDSM related, lol). 6'2" and 155 lbs? I am 5'9" and 162... I wish I was 155 :). You will notice that it will be easier to gain weight on HRT and more difficult to get rid of that, but eating up should really help. You might need to cycle Your weight in the beginning, cause within first weeks/months Your body will still respond in "male pattern", so You might need to burn some fat away and hope the new one comes in other places :). But no worries, Your metabolism will slow down very gradually too (though it might be YMMV case) - I was very much physically capable during first 3-4 months of HRT which helped me to loss some extra 2-3 kilos.
And yeah, You need to eat to get that subtle fat layer on Your face and to fill out "them" :).

It's highly variable. From what I've read, don't expect to be needing a bra for support until at least 3 month, if not 6, months in. My own experience is on the weirder side, since I didn't eat much months 2 and 3 on HRT since I couldn't afford to, breat growth pretty much stopped. They appear to fill about 1/3 of a 36B bra (I'm normally a 34 band (the add 5 is never right, don't add 5 to your underbust for a band size) but this is what I have, mostly donated from a friend. I'm going to go shopping tomorrow to see if I can get inserts or a good 34A pushup, cause I don't want any padding showing when I wear shirts with lower cuts on the neck) so that'd make them around an A for 34 (a friend said they were pushing Bs, I had to doubt that) which I never expected them around there for 3 months in. Genetics could play a part in it too, my mother and grandmother are both 36DDs.

I got the feeling that things were starting to grow about three days after my first injection.  No one believed me at the time, but I was right, so it is possible :)

I felt my nipples start to increase sensitivity at day 3. About the 2 week the bud formed ( small). Now when I look down I am happy, I still do not need a bra. If I wear a sports bra then I tend to look like a guy with big pecs. If I do not wear a sports bra then I notice guys looking at my chest, mostly double looks. Odd how now I feel like look up here and look at them at the same time.

Very similar in my case. I got my first shot on April 16th and when I took a shower on April 20th evening I noticed small "peaks" under the nipples that weren't there before . And yes, the hyper-sensitivity that developed just only few days later... Just to shower in those parts was sometimes really painful. The sensitivity went to nice levels two weeks later.

And April 29th was the last time I used small gel breast forms. Although that was because of the increased sensitivity. Since then it's just an A push-up bra. I do seriously need it for like a month now because as the (here funnily called) "golf balls" inside go up and down while walking... It's not painful but it can be annoying :-D .

It's happening really fast for me.  Painful nubs in first week, quite noticeable tissue growth and magnetic attraction to moving doors and elbows.  Just six weeks or so.
Just started on spiro and progesterone a few days ago, I had very low T.

Bewbs!

I got the sensitive breasts about 3 weeks in.  I can't say I'm obsessed with how they are evolving - the fact that they ARE evolving is pretty much a miracle, and good enough for me  :D

I still present as a boy at work (3 weeks before that stops, yay), but for the first 3 months of this year I wore a sports bra mainly for its psychological benefit.  Now the bra is most useful for plain ol' protection of sensitive bits!

I got sensitivity in my breast area also around 2 to 3 days after my first injection..

Breast growth is not for sissies. lol, it is painful, especially when you bump into something.

The way i figured out my boobs were growing was just feeling them out. They get hard under the nipple a bit before they start growing then get really soft. Its sort of a pattern ive come to realize. Dont know if its for anyone else.
Just massage. Get the blood flowing through your breasts and they should grow faster.
Plus its fun. :3

From time to time ill just casually "play" with my boobs. Nothing sexual. They just feel good.

Wow, talk about boob play, I should know, as the boobs got larger I really get off on it. They are so cool to caress and the nipples are delightful to fondle, also. Sexual, hmmm, maybe, but definitely feels soooo good. I seem to be one of the few who hasn't had a painful growing pains type of thing going on with them. I do remember early on how the nipples were like a bud, like a small tumor behind each one, which softened up with time. I was really concerned about it when it first happened. I am so very happy that I can fill my sport bra with no problem at all! It was wrinkly at first, but no wrinkles anymore. I still go braless at work and going out, but just knowing that I can fill it makes me feel very feminine.

I definitely had a little bit of nipple sensation within a couple days, and it had progressed to visible growth with breast buds and undeniable pain by day 5. So it's possible. :)  The pain also seems to vary from woman to woman - I never had anything severe, as others have described. (But OMG, the itching.)

I havn't been itchy but I was sensitive and had pain only like 2-3 days in and now 4 weeks can see them budding I'm on progesterone and estrogen being on an AA I would think it would make it happen pretty fast but every body reacts different

Mine started budding and got very painful the first week. Now at 5 months, 3 weeks, and 6 days I'm filling an A cup. I still don't need to wear a bra yet though unless I want to as mine are very perky. Talk about bumping into things! Yeoooowwwch!!. Right now if I'm not careful with my arms I can make myself wince! They are fun to play with though, lol!! Booby's, YaY!!

Based on what I'm seeing here it sounds like a sports bra can be concealed fairly well. Is that right? I haven't started HRT yet, but I have no idea when I'm coming out at work. It would be nice to have some flexibility.

Sport bras seem to be a lot more comfortable to me than regular bras. They are softer and stretch well over the boobs. They seem to be concealed better than regular bras, true, plus the benefit of hiding the boobs a little bit better. And of course for athletic reasons like jogging, etc, so they won't bounce so badly. Now that can hurt without a bra, depending how big they are. I know mine would hurt!

I think a sports bra also helps with the shape. Ive worn one a couple times and each time my boobs come out rounder and a bit firm.

I've been told by many sources that sports bras aren't good for growing boobies.

I'm only an A cup at 6 months and my biological Mom was only a B cup, so I'm only expecting a B cup however, anything more is just gravy. Plus, I never knew my real father nor any of his family so who knows? I look a lot like my biological Mom though so I suspect I favor her side of my very small family.

Hi,

Started hrt 8 days ago and today is the first day I could feel any sensation of 'discomfort' in my nipples (could that explain why I joined today?). Trying not to have any expectations, just trying to be aware.

I'm probably going to be in a bad way, but not too soon (I hope).. I have to wear white uniform shirts for work, with a white tee under it, I think unless I get larger teeshirt sizes, the sports bra bands would be visible, specially in bright sunlight.  I'm not out yet, and the double pockets on the front helps hide these (B's), right now.. later.. not so much.  I had thot of getting some girls t-shirts, maybe with a shelf sewn in.. maybe athletic tees..  anyone see/use those?

Nude dosen't show as much under white and unless you stand around gasbagging and are not rushing around working people don't actually notice as much. Problem is you forgetting your wearing one for the first time

Actually I heard you should expect a full cup size smaller than the average woman in your family. With that said I have absolutely no idea what the average size in my family is. Right now I'm just hoping that when I start therepy, she'll let me start hormones at the same time. I would prefer not to wait 6 months.

I think that my mother and sister were only an A cup, so I am beyond that now, then again, my grandmother on both sides were a lot bigger, so who knows? I am hoping for one more cup size when all said and done.

I think it improves the shape and i seem to feel more itchiness/growing pains from wearing a sportsbra. I may be wrong but imma keep wearing them cuz they feel good.

I just want one more size up. A full B would be nice. Right now im a small B.

Like I had mentioned on one of the threads, I may take up jogging just to have an excuse to wear my sports bra. Or not to wear one and have them jiggle all around for people to gawk and wonder. (Without the bra, might be painful in jogging, however!)

That reminds me of last week at work, I ran down three flights of stairs coming from one of the offices (because it burns more calories than the elevator) and at the bottom I had to stop not due to being winded but from breast pain lol. Turns out stairs and sports bras might be a match made in heaven.

Ha, ha!! That is great, as I can really relate to the breast discomfort on moving too quickly with B cup or larger breasts. When they wobble up and down, gravity is definitely not kind to them! I know only too well what stairs and jogging, even running regular can do to those boobs!

I have a sports bra, but right now with them growing I wear my Calvin Klein silk comfort bra's. They are lightly padded on the inside, and with no underwire I get great support and also some protection for my sensitive nipples. I save my sports bra for situations where it's really needed like, going boating in rough water, etc.
