Title: shorted prescription
Post by: EmoAlice on June 29, 2014, 10:33:28 AM
What are my chances of being reimbursed for being shorted 1 pill on my prescription?  It's been a little over a week and I just noticed.

Not likely, but possible. Call the pharmacy and ask.

Just have a talk with your Pharmacist about it. They are not infallible so maybe they will take care of it. I have been with the same family Pharmacist for 30 years so there is a level of trust there. If you got it from a large pharmacy you do not use all the time I really don't know what your chances of a correction are. Just ask, no harm in that. :)

Horse is out of the barn, but always count your pills as soon as possible. I handle a lot of meds for my job and this happens all the time. If you come back quickly they usually fix it, unless it's a controlled med.

Had a client once who was missing two strips out of a box of suboxone. Turned out a pharmacy tech had a habit, took them and re-sealed the box. Unbelievable that the tech expected to get away with it.
