I bought female skinny jeans for the first time.. (online :P)
What an amazing nice piece it is!! I was making a gamble cause I only wear male jeans until now who are rough and thick..
But these!! Wow.. they're so soft and comfortable.. I can't believe it :) It's almost perfect, only the male junk is in the way >:(
I am feeling so happy when I wear female clothes! =)

Given the current style trends, women's jeans fit better and look better. The only problem is the shallow pockets.

I'm not sure I'll ever be ready to carry a bag. What I hate is that you can get cheap women's jeans that are 2% spandex at Walmart for like $15, but the cheapest men's jeans that are 2% spandex are like $50...I need my pockets to be usable, but once you've worn 2% spandex, 100% cotton is just unacceptable...

You ladies are definitely piquing my interest. I've always been a skirt and blouse kind of gal but I think I will need to give female skinny jeans another look.

Feather, you have accomplished what I desire, a pair of jeans that fits perfectly. What is the secret of your success in getting the right size?

I bought my first female skinny jeans in Esprit last week and they are really great. It looks much more feminine :).
I am glad that I found my size because it is hard to find any, because I am 183cm.

I used to be waist 34. Some women's jeans I ordered with my birthday money arrived this morning and they're waist 34, but they're a little loose so I just got some belts. My ass fills them nicely.

I've been getting mine at Goodwill.. Lee, Jordache, Vera Wang(my absolute favs!).. cheap too.. $4-$7/ea. Best place to shop for sizes. I'm a 7/8 consistently.. I have, I think, 7 pairs. still need to find ones in white , peach or purple. But try theft stores for size then buy them new online, but thrift stores, jeans are soft, worn, broken in. My preference..

I'm really interested in denim jeggings at the moment rather than jeans. The stretch element in the jeggings may be somewhat forgiving and thus eliminate the necessity of getting size absolutely correct. (This guesswork on my part rather than hard evidence.) Thoughts?

The first pair of skinny jeans that I brought came from target (19 then). They did not fit too well. I was kind of nervous and rush through the shopping experience. Although after a couple of time I absolutely do care less of about the reaction from others. When my confidence raise, I was able to buy clothes that fit me.
I glad that your happy with the pair of jeans that you bought.

Fitting oneself with a great pair of jeans is no easy task these days no matter who you are. One issue I've run into with women's jeans are that they sometimes have a bit too much width in the hip area for me. With skinnies that's not always such a problem, though. Wearing skinny jeans we do need to master the art of the tuck, but once you do, they're fine. I actually have one pair of jeans that came with stretchy panties sewn in and they pretty much do the tucking automatically.
My only issue with jeans is that I'm long waisted, so I have to shop and dress carefully. I can't wear low-huggers and my best jeans looks are with high heels.

Thanks, everyone, for the discussion of this topic. Even though an absolutely clear path for going forward isn't in place, I am gaining insights that eventually will assist me in making a wise purchase.

I like women's jeans except for the shallow pockets. If it was acceptable to carry a purse that would suffice.

Oh.. and today I came back home and had big desire to dress.. so I first shaved all my leg hair.. and then I thought that I should remove my arm hair as well. First time ever I did that.. Wow, what a victory. My arms/hands are very skinny. Now without the hair they are so girly, haha. I feel so relaxed now. :)
