I'm Raven haired but I'm considering changing my hair colour, though I'm given to understand that people with particularly dark hair can have trouble doing so.

I've left the colours as general categories as labelling strawberry blonde and chestnut and all derivations would be a little excessive. If you want to be more specific then please do.

I like my brunet hair ,but a deep maroon I think would be cool

I really want a cool pastel color. I'd kill for some lavender hair right now.

I've had that colour in my hair before (lavender I'm talking about) :D
I wish my hair was naturally red (save me a lot of money)

@Falconer pending on what colour you want to change your hair to it can be done. I think my original hair colour was dark brown. Go to a hairdresser pay the money if you're realistic you don't have to strip it all back first. (I've only had bleach on my hair all over twice)

Nothing there for me. I am a dirty/dishwater blonde. But definately prefer the title dirty blonde. Not really blonde and not really brunette but kind of in between.

I actually don't know what hair color I want.

My avatar shows my natural hair color it has been that since 2011 but from 1999-2009 I dyed it black. Between 2009 and 2011 I had blonde, purple and pink hair.

With my freckles and pale skin I wonder how I would look with red or auburn.

I get away with substantial streaks of unnatural color in my dark hair already.  If I did not have to concern myself with my employer's opinion about my eccentric style, then my hair would most definitely be multiple shades of pink, from the darkest of fuschias and raspberries, to the hottest pinks to the palest pastels... with a few streaks of cobalt blue and royal purple just for fun.

I'm a natural blonde, works just fine for me :)

My hair was that Lavender colour about two months ago. VERY hard to upkeep and got sick of that so went back to black.

Black is so sexy depending on the chick :)

You may end up looking a little paler. Funny thing about red it grabs quickly but can also fade fairly quick. But if your prepared for the upkeep, after awhile the colour takes on a life on its own. (A girlfriend is still struggling with her hairdresser getting her hair to become purple). I've actually had two hairdressers say to my face that this (red) was my natural hair colour.

Pretty much freckles and red or auburn hair go together.

BTW your hair looks like a dark auburn already or is that just the light?

When I dyed it blonde, and I was going back to my color, I dyed it "Medium chestnut brown" and that was basically spot on. The lighting in my room (both photos are in the same room) might make it look a bit more red or yellow than it is.

I just recently colored my hair, its a blonde ombre, I colored my hair black for years and I got sick of it so now I got my hair ombreyed

Currently, I'm a dark red with grey regrowth.. Later today that will become a dark purple..

I like the idea of it being a blend of cool-aid colors, but I'm actually more concerned about how they would react at work then me coming out as transgender.

I secretly always wanted silver/white hair, or platinum blonde, or a very light pastel pink, but I'm too afraid of the damage, because my hair is preeeetty dark. I have a blonde balayage in it right now and want to get it done again

I'm natural born Ash Blonde but I also enjoy wearing red-headed wigs.

Yes! I don't like how it looks straight though. I think it looks nicer when it's full of body and volume.

I don't know.  I like being a brunette and will stay that way, but I also wanted to try out other colors for fun.  At the very least, I can't wait till I can get some highlights in my hair.  Something about just having a solid color feels a little plan and boring for me.

I would go for lavender, but I rather not stand out too much. Lately I've felt like going platinum blonde.

I'm a brunette and I love my hair colour. I'd like to try something like that beautiful lavender, but first I'm trying to grow my hair long in it's natural state. An unnatural color could also make it harder for me to get a formal job.

I would love blonde hair, much better than the natural brownish hair I have :)

I'm currently blonde but I naturally have very dark brown hair. my preference varies.I've had blonde, black, a dozen shades of brown and natural red before. I'm considering unnatural red next like really bright red but we'll see!

^ love the idea of bright red. I will be out of work for 6 months coming up soon and was seriously wanting to do something radical but my best friend also who is also my hair dresser said it will be hard as hell to get back to my natural blonde. Wanted to do it the night before surgery :)

I never know what I will be. I have an agreement with the colour technician at my hairdresser that she can do whatever she likes, as long as it looks good, as I don't see the colour before it is done it is quite exciting. Currently I am deep auburn with violet high lights.

I think that hair color fits you pretty good. I thought about going the platinum blonde or totally black a while ago but kind of chickened out and stayed my true color. Beside I don't have to worry about roots and all.

I've had fights with myself about having naturally blond hair but I'm at peace with it now.

While I grow my hair out and get a little bit of widow's peak dealt with, I started with a blond wig.  Now I have a mid-brown wig, something closer to my natural chestnut, and it's far better.  But I can't wait before I can get to using my real hair!!

Pink, obviously ;) though I've had pretty much every color that comes in a bottle at some point.

I was formerly brunette, but since I went full time in May, I went with burgandy red

I am a natural dark brunette, but I've always wanted natural red or auburn hair, or truly raven black (so black and shiny it has blueish/purpleish tinges) hair.  but I don't think my skin tone would like either shade, well....maybe the black from my native american heritage.... :P

I keep meaning to dye my hair jet black but never get around to it.

I had blonde highlights done, narrow lines at back of my hair....

Was playing with the idea of going blonde... as they say.. blondes have all the fun... or pitch black...

I prefer to keep my original hair color.

My God Falconer. I would die to have raven colored hair. Especially if when the sunlight hits it it has the bluish looking, not really highlights but some individual hairs look blueish. I'll trade hair colors with you but being blonde, even dirty or dishwater, get ready for the jokes. And or the assumptions.

I can't say that my hair ever looks blueish, though sometimes in the summer I get streaks of ginger near my temples. :-\

Before I colored mine my dark brown hair would streak in the sun, not uncommon right. What happened with mine is you would find streaks of red and blonde in my hair with lighter shades of brown.  Not so fun when your school had a no hair dye policy. My face was well known to the office staff very quickly before they worked out the truth

I like a light brown that almost has a tinge of red in it. Just enough so that in bright sunlight it reflects a red hue, but is a soft brown color indoors. I love bold red hair but I could never pull it off.

The purple for sure, I've always had a bit of metal side toe so purple for sure.

The color you see me with in the picture is the onmly one that doesn't fade on me. I have tyo use a hearthy red. Even black fades back to my naturasl brown color.

I've always wanted to be a brunette but I'm stuck with black it's so hard to colour black hair and have it look real.

I am very fortuate in that the only dress policy of the school I went to were no shorts. Anything else would go. I feel so sorry for students today that can't freely express themselves with hairstyle color cothing or anything else. Where I live now all the schools are like 1994 with the uniforms, strict hair policies that discrimanate between the boys that want long hair and so on. I don't know but they seem like little enternment camps instead of schools anymore. Or at least here anyway. SOme of the stuff that I did in high school when I was gwoing up would probably get me arrested now.
