Not sure if this is the right place for this. I noticed an odd change in how the "Show Unread Posts Since Your Last Visit" link works. In the past it kept track of all the forums I subscribed to AND the date/time I last clicked Mark All Messages Read.
Now it seems to only care about when I was last in the forum section. For instance I might not click into a board or even click on Show Unread Posts for days. I'd just do a quick check of unread replies at some point in the day since that is all I had time for. When I finally have a chance to look at all the unread posts all that shows up is from the date/time of my last visit to the site.
Somehow, someway all posts get marked as read during any visit.
Guilty me says I broke something, yet I am not doing anything different than I have been doing for years

I'm not sure what could be causing this. As far as I know, there isn't an option to automatically mark topics as read when you're logged in.
What I would suggest is clearing your cache, and deleting your cookies. See if that clears things up.
