Title: Do I have any hope of passing with hormones?

Hi all. This is something that has worried me quite a lot for some time, but I'm worried that hormones won't actually do anything to help me pass. I read once that the effects of hormones decline between the ages of 18 and 30. I'm 24 right now, so I feel like every second counts :( Not to mention, my birthday is coming up fast, so I might actually end up being 25 when I finally get my prescription.

I have a fairly feminine facial structure to start with, but the lack of any facial fat is what gives me away. So is this something that hormones can fix at my old age? The worry is killing me...

How your body reacts to HRT is a very individual thing and age, while having some bearing on the matter is not the be all and end all. You are young for someone undergoing gender reassignment HRT. You won't get results immediately but you should expect something reasonable by 9-12 months. Maybe but maybe not. Unfortunately you won't know until you know. I'm 48 and have had a much better response to HRT than I did when I tried it when I was 25, so who can say.
HRT is not a panacea. Passing is not just about hormones, it will come down to how you present, dress, walk, talk, act, plus body hair/beard removal and your confidence. You are an attractive young woman, I don't see why, with the right presentation and confidence you shouldn't pass regardless of HRT.

I definitely think you could pass with hormones! And I mean it! :) (just looks-wise, I don't know what your voice or presence is like ofc)

I think you will but in my opinion hair makeup and eyebrows have a bigger impact on facial femininity than hormones
