Title: question about dosage adjustments
Post by: Lillyblack on July 06, 2014, 11:46:23 AM
hi everybody!
i started hrt on may 19th this year(now 7 weeks) and am going in for my next endo checkup/bloodwork. i'm currently on a low dose vivelle dot patch and Spiro and have yet to see any significant changes. my doc indicated he would be adjusting my dosage to a higher amount with my next visit. my question is how many times have ya'll had your dosages raised/adjusted? is this a baby step thing? or can i expect a good jump to a level that will plateau?
xoxo

Hi Lilly,
That all depends on your blood results and how your Endo perceives how your body is handling the whole experience. No two people are alike when it comes to the medical side of things.

No need to fret, your in good hands and your Endo will ensure you transition into your new regime safely. Enjoy and embrace the journey and experience.

Most doctors change the dosages depending on your blood estrogen level, and your testosterone level. They usually want your levels close to cis gendered females.  Your doctor will probably monitor your liver and kidney's closely as well.
