Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.  I gave myself my first low dose Estradiol Valerate today in the vastus lateralus, and I noticed that as soon as the injection was finished and I pulled out, I felt a slight head rush that lasted less than a minute.  Everything went as it was supposed to, aspiration, placement etc., so what I'm thinking is that it was one of two things:  because it was my first one at my home I probably built up a bit of mental hype about the whole matter and it was just adreneline.  Second, many many years ago in my using life I used meth constantly by way of syringe, so it may have just been that playing out of the mental scenario my brain was expecting.  Once it was over I never felt anything again, so I dont believe that it could have been placed in between muscles.   I had settled on the 23g x 1" and my legs are kind of skinny so there is no doubt all went welll.  Just curious, thanks.  Dani

I've been getting injections in my butt for the last 3-4 months, EV as well and never experienced this. Maybe as you said, it's all in the head. :)

I use the thigh and have never had this except for the first time. It was so excited I could have won the Boston Marathon. As long as there was no return into the syringe you should be just fine Sis. Enjoy the ride!!! :)

Thanks, I do believe it was in my head, I had built up so much focus around that one event that it was mostly the adreneline and partly the other.   ::)  Dani

Just got off the phone with my nurse and she confirmed that all is well.  Yesterday I was left to only knocking around in my own head as I was past office hours, so thanks to the help I got from here  :)  Dani
