I already have bought my copy of the book, and at 8 1/2 x 11" and 650 pages long, it will take me a bit to finish it, but Susan's is mentioned in it as a TG Resource, as well as some other sites.  The book fully acknowledges the different points of view in the Trans* population, and our differences on who and what to be referred to and even give some of the why's that people feel as they do.  I love the fact is expresses our diversity, and yet makes the diversity a strength no matter what some of us may feel.  A truly monumental work!!

My dad preordered it for me while ago, but I'm letting my grandmother read through it first because she wants to understand better what I am going through. I'll probably read it myself in august while on vacation. (I usually get through about 3-4000 pages over 10 days)

The thing about this book is that you can read it in parts and each part is complete.  The main text is there, but it is interspersed with "boxed" portions that are relevant to, but not part of the main text, and a lot of "margin notes" as well.  I am reading the main text now for each chapter, and will go back for the other stuff when I am done.  This is what the Editor recommends, and I see why.  I already have some new insights on things I thought I knew well before hand.
