For those of you who have/had been trying to lose weight, did you find it was easier to do so, after you started HRT?
And then, if you had a bunch of loose skin after weightloss, did top surgery help the loose skin issue even a little bit?

I started gaining weight on T, but I think what I did gain (at first) was mostly muscle. Not that I'm claiming to have biceps suddenly spring up; but I remember being like 10lbs heavier without my clothes getting tighter. Lifting weights got much easier without much effort on my part. It didn't fluctuate either way after that (not without me intervening anyway)
Then I had surgery, and to answer the second part of your question most of the loose skin on my chest was removed. Around 7lbs came off...not just skin though, the whole lot.
Recovery made me lazy, I've only really just started working out again this past two weeks and gained a good 15lbs over the 6 months I've been sitting on my ass. Which seems to have mostly gone to my stomach, so I guess fat redistribution is kicking in for me because it usually goes to my hips and ass. Unfortunately, my hips and ass were already big to start with, so now I have a big ass, hips and stomach :D .... but also a lot more muscle than I've ever had before.
So in a nutshell, for me T seems to increase my ability to build muscle and makes me gain fat in different places; but fat loss hasn't been affected.

Oh god yeah, it got so much easier. I did gain a bit of weight at first- I went from my starting weight to like, ten pounds heavier, but then lately I've been trying to lose weight again. It's something that's always been difficult for me to do, but this time it's like the weight just falls right off. I try not to do too much strenuous exercise- I'm not really the type to go to the gym all the time, mostly because I'm pre-top surgery and it's hard to exercise and bind- but even just walking a lot has helped immensely. Not even anything too out of the way- just going to the park every once in a while, or parking pretty far away from where I need to go.

I'm at the same weight right now from when I first started hrt. I know I def gained some muscle, so maybe I did lose weight and replaced it with muscle? I move around a lot at my job and lifting stuff, so I'm pretty active at work. I was going to the gym, but stopped while taking this summer class for school, because I been to busy, need to go back. My doctor said its normal to gain weight when first starting hrt, but then after awhile she sees patients go back to the weight they were when they first started hrt. I think it is easier to gain muscle while on hrt. I have noticed that my weight is starting to move lol. My chest has gotten smaller and my weight is moving to my stomach.
