So, I've recently discovered I make enough lubrication when aroused to make a hentai sound effects expert blush (seriously, it sounds like a wet fish flopping around down there!) I have no idea how commonplace this is, however, and I didn't see a poll, so... Poll to the rescue! Basically I want to know how many of us have natural lubrication (vaginal or from the vulva - mine's from the vulva) and how many of us don't.

I should clarify my answer a little, though - I'd say it *averages out* to about the same as a typical cis woman, but I don't lubricate very much until I'm VERY aroused. So it's more like a bit less than typical until just before to just after orgasm, when I can actually get wet enough to be dripping.

Also not sure where it comes from, since it's hard to see, but the majority does not appear to be internal so I'm guessing urethral mucosa (which is now my inner labia), plus maybe a tiny bit of prostate secretions.

How would I know?

I'm always so slimy with dilator-lube that I can't tell whether anything's coming just out of me.

I'm laughing at these survey results.  Seriously, do any of these optimistic women know how wet other women get?  They literally soak their panties; do you?  And a few said they even self-lube more than other women.  Yeah, right.  Sorry I'm not buying it.

FTR I'm almost 7 years out and I self-lube, but less than the average woman.

Beyond : Do I? Yes, or at least the women I've been with or talked to. Unless we have studies that actually demonstrate lubrication in some measurable quantity, I'm assuming that's a reasonable anecdotal set. Unfortunately for Zoe, that's as good as data gets when there's no dedicated studies. :)

(And yes, I will soak my panties and leave a bit of a puddle behind to boot.)

@Beyond: please refer to the "wet fish" comment. There was, indeed, more than enough lubricant to soak a pair of panties, so I'm pretty sure it qualifies.

At 18 months +, there are times when I am dilating that more comes out than I ever put in.  I can and have done the dirty deed without using my lube gel, but I do not really like it.  I still have days when I need a panty liner to catch the drips and drools, and other days when I go through a couple of pairs of panties morning and afternoon.  All nicely balanced by the times I go through half a tube of gel just to keep from pinching and tugging my stuff raw. I'm at 7 months, very little going on in that department. There have been a couple of times randomly soaking through shorts (only ever the beige ones, funnily enough) but I haven't needed liners or anything. Arousal doesn't make much difference - it's moist down there and it doesn't dry out often since I started an estriol crime but for any play additional lube is necessary.

I've never really understood why people think it's icky to check their own taste...maybe I'm weird but if you're going around licking other peoples genitals it's not exactly a huge leap. Anyway, the taste is similar to other girls but not very strong - I'm somewhat worried about the ovestin aftertaste for any partners but I haven't been with anyone since I started using that so I don't know if that's a thing.
