Hello all.
I am new to the site, so I suppose a quick introduction is in order.
I am a 28 year old MtF from the UK. I normally use the name "Peony" online (those close to me usually use "Pae")
It all started back when I was perhaps 7 or 8 I realised I didn't particularly like being a boy. I didn't enjoy the things they did and felt much more comfortable with the girls. That feeling stuck with me, through highschool (where my attempts to feel right resulted in a lot of heart-ache and bullying), and after. By the time I left I was pretty broken, and tried my best to just "be a man", albeit a somewhat effeminate gay man. it took a decade of on and off crossdressing and experimentation, a lot of instrospection, and a couple of attempts the end it all to realise I hated what I was and should be what I want to be, thats when I finally decided to take the plunge.
I have been on HRT for about 3 months now, and the effects are just beginning to show.
Got a lot of things still to sort before being passable - all manners of hair, sorting a better voice, learning how to properly carry myself, etc. Perhaps "outting" myself at some point would be a sensible idea too (athough the idea of just not saying anything and letting people figure it out on their own amuses me)
It has certainly been an interesting journey so far, and I'm sure will continue to be one.
I am happy to chat with anyone and will most definitely be interested in meeting those that are local, particularly if there is a support group or the like in the area.

Welcome to the journey to your authentic self! Three months on eh? For me about that time, the top side was getting pretty tender. Kind of a welcome pain though, things were happening and most of the time I was pretty giddy with deligtht. There is no time line nor right way to transition.
This isn't simple, becoming a new person never is. I am grateful that places like Susan's exist, for without them I would have been lost and alone, and here I found friends and wisdom. Here you will to. There are some rules here, mostly to be respectful and show compassion, you'll get a posting pretty soon with where to read up on them. I'm grateful that you are here, and look forward to getting to know you.
Cheers,
Julie

Many people on the same journey (you'd be surprised how many of the same age and HRT 'length' there are)
There's information, discussion and fun here, something for every mood :)
