Long time no see everyone!
I took a leave from the forums a while back and I decided to make a return with some updates. I mainly quit visiting the forums because I didn't really want to focus a lot on my transition, as there is not a lot I can do but wait. So far, it has really made the time fly, but I've definitely missed talking to other trans people. I haven't even been to my support group in probably a good 2 1/2 months, I've really been out of the loop.
Anyways, I've been taking Estradiol and Spironolactone for 3 months, 1 week, and 3 days and these are some of the things I noticed:
Unfortunately or fortunately depending on how you look at it, I've lost a significant amount of my muscle mass that I worked so hard to develop. It's become incredibly noticeable as some boxes that I lift for my freight duties have gradually become heavier over time. Additionally, when I compare back to a photo from March 2013, I've lost a lot of definition in my arms as well as my chest. The only sad part about losing muscle was that I spent so much time to build it, I had a stint where I would go to the gym every day for 2 years straight. I'm honestly glad that I lost my muscle definition, but I can't help but feel that so much of my effort was put to waste.
On that note, about my chest, apparently there has been some shenanigans at work there. I lost definition but my chest has increased about an inch or so. Which of course means "Man" boobs. Nothing too noticeable while wearing a shirt, thankfully this means I don't have to worry about it to much when working. They jiggle a little when I walk down the stairs, which is kind of exciting. I noticed about a little over a month in that I developed these hard little mounds underneath my nipples, which are incredibly sore. This has really made tossing freight "fun", it seems like I always bump them once a day, just enough to make me a drop a box.
Some other notable changes have been some reduced chest hair, and some regrowth of the hair on my head. I have a somewhat receding hair, it's not anything terrible, but it's noticeable. Any regrowth up top is always a pleasant change. I also noticed that my skin has gotten softer and more easily injured. I come back from work with multiple cuts and sometimes a bruise, and I have no idea what they are from. I can only assume I must be something I do at work :/
Yah, it's nice to be back and talk to all of you again
