A former colleague she once supervised asks Bellowes to conduct an informal strategy session with her panicked family just before her wedding. During this session, the woman's sister, a transgender, complains that her parents are trying to get her to wear a gown at the wedding. Notice they got the pronouns all wrong in that article?
The TG wanted to wear a tux, and hated the idea of wearing a gown. But they insisted on referring to the FtM as 'sister' and 'her'.
Do I detect unconscious bigotry?
