POOR Christopher Robin. For 80 years there has been an enchanted

and replaced him with a six-year-old girl. [Read More] (http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,2-1917043,00.html)

I kind of don't want to comment on this in a large part because I can think of NOTHING nice to say... So, I'll leave it at that.

Sure, I remember Walt. I lived for sunday evenings when the "Wonderful World Of Disney" would come on. (In black and white) It's kinda sad but I guess it's ok to give Christopher Robin a sex change if they feel they must. I really hope they don't mess around with Mickey Mouse, though. ::)

Christopher Robin was always a bit strange - and I always was uneasy about Winnie the Pooh - I mean what sort of a name is that?
Peter Pan was really cool thou - I loved Captain Hook & the Crocadile. I cannot call the authors name to mind :( when you find about about who the lost boys really were - it sort of makes the whole story really sad :(

I think it's something about the English. Look at Bob the builder. The fat controller and the like.

Is it anything like Dr Seuss's 'The Sneetches', with 'stars upon thars'?

This desire by US people is nothing new - there is even a name for it, "Americanisms" I mean who else would rename a male chicken a "rooster" because the other name "cock" may offend some sensibilities :)

They call tits chickadees in the States too, presumably for the same reason.
I speak here of the bird, not the boob.
