I plan on getting my hair cut soon, but I have no idea what I should get done to it. I want something that would work for me as a girl and a guy. my hair is almost down to my shoulder and is kinda curly/wavy. I need to get it cut because it is impossible for me to style at this point. any one got any recommendations

Hi Amber,
Have you tried searching Pinterest? Try using "haircut androgynous" or "gender neutral". I found several I liked that way, although I was looking for something on the short side so you may have to pick through a lot of them. (The shag cut seems pretty versatile to me)

I actually went to a hairdresser, explained what trans it, how long it takes to roughly 'male fail' and had her plan several androgenous styles while I grew out my hair until I get to the stage where I want to transition across (asymmetrical bob here I come). It was wonderful to have a goal and a plan.

I was thinking about a bob hair cut but I desided I wanted it long. many women say I have beautiful wavy hair but that I need to learn how to style it. so I am going to practice styling it and grow it out. once im more out I think I am going to get some highlights!

It's weird, I dreamed of having a bob all my life- dark with purple tips. It makes me teary thinking it will actually happen.
Did you have any dream hairstyles?

I actually used to dream about a bob or even a really cute pixie cut, but like now I just want long wavy hair that goes down t my shoulder blades.

It will certainly help gendering!
I think I will put a streak of color in the fringe (bangs) to draw attention away from my features.
I read this sad quote the other day 'I dyed my hair purple just so I could pretend that's why people stare at me.' Got me choaked up a bit... but then I thought... mmmm purple.
So does your hair have a natural wave?
